Yeah but when I solo que a lot of times my teamatates dont know how to play the game or I am underperforming but when I 5 stack with friends the game becomes more fun and I dont have to only rely on mysels on getting kills.
3:40 but doesn't his also apply to solo games? You can be top fragging, or be at the bottom, so can your teammates.
You can get carried by one dude or you can be the one carrying.
It's very easy to avoid the "drawbacks" of 5-stacking if you simply are an adult and don't give a rat's ass about "being better than your friends".
This is a team game, nobody cares if you're clearly helping the team.
I'd wager that it's even the opposite, it's better to 5 stack simply because:
1. Comms are guaranteed.
2. Yes, you can focus on your own gameplay, but occasionally helping your friend figure out how he could have handled a situation better isn't suddenly going to halt your progress.
It's not really going to change anything, and it's a very weird 'logic' people use in games.
And solo queuing is worse because:
1. It's a bigger gamble as to whether you will get good players, bad players, trolls or smurfs (extremely common from my experience).
2. Coordination is not always going to be 'automatic' if you're playing with random players. What if they're casual players? What if they're one of those "mute team" players? Yes, individually none of these factors are common, but every few games I do get a team that doesn't really work well together, and it can be for an endless amount of reasons, whereas if you 5-stack, you're at least guaranteed a little bit more of a consistent ranked experience and many factors no longer become applicable, giving you more control over the outcome of the game.
I'm not saying that solo queueing isn't beneficial, but in the short-run, if you're trying to rank up a few times, a 5 stack is going to cause you far less suffering. Eventually you do want to start playing solo more often, but it's simply so that you learn to work with random people, as your friends may not always be there and from my experience 99% of them quit the game after a month. Just because you're 5-stacking all the time doesn't mean that your current rank isn't your "real" rank. It only means that if you're getting carried every game or two.
You can get lucky and do completely fine solo, but in the thousand hours I've played, I've yet to meet a person who doesn't have any complaints regarding solo ranked. It's a frustrating experience and what fixed it for me is simple 5-stacking, and my team is roughly as good as I am.
I suppose to a degree it is entirely subjective and based on experience, but that is why videos like these are rather useless. See what works for you. If you really don't want to risk it, mix things up, do some solo, do some with friends. Perhaps the only objective answer is to just not keep doing things the same way.

On the topic of ranks, here's what's inherently wrong with the episode rank resets. Hopefully this can get pinned, since there is a shocking proportion of the community who does not understand this issue as large. Here's why the community hates the episode rank reset, and why it sucks:
If you did not know, after every episode there is a massive "ranked reset" across all Valorant ranks. What happens is no matter how well you do during your placements, players are always placed a good 1-3 ranks below their previous rank. Not demote as in "diamond 3 to diamond 1", demote as in "diamond 3 to gold 1". Here's the issue with that:
Your physical badge rank goes down, but your mmr does not. Since mmr is the factor that decides the skill level of the opponents you are playing with, the result is a huge skill disparity between your games. Let's say you are a plat player, who got demoted to silver 3. Your games will all be in silver lobbies – but everyone will be playing at a plat level. That's where the issue comes in. Your games did not get any easier, despite dropping several ranks – in fact, the difficulty of the games remains exactly the same. You are playing in a silver lobby, but it is not played at a silver level. Rather, it is played at a platinum level. All the toxic keyboard warriors who say "it's easier in a lower rank, just climb out" are completely wrong – the rank resets suck because that is not the case. You are in a lower rank, but playing at the exact same difficulty, which just feels objectively worse. Winning a close clutch game to achieve your career-best and break out of platinum into diamond feels amazing. Playing the exact same game at the exact same intensity, just to rank up from silver 3 to gold, while your best is platinum does not feel the same.
i feel like i'm listening to sova
the best way to rank is to upgrade your PC!
wow this actually made me feel better about myself after seeing the “how many ppl are this rank” i was d2 last act and i was gettin into my own head after going on a losing streak
