thoughts on the nerf:
1) It's not… ideal, but you can work around it as Caustic. You'd have to place your traps further back from a doorway sort of like a wattson would with her abilities.
2) the ult is way more valuable now (carry accelerants!)
3) you can take advantage of people wasting ammo in their mag on the trap, but I wouldnt say it's a reliable "opener" to count on against better players
Caustics traps at least for me are my top shooting priority in a fight now because if I shoot them well it just gets way easier when there outta of the way
I know thus is unrellative but if you change your crouch button on controller you can crousg spam whilst looting
I love when kandy calls himself ex caustic main, but every time he hops on caustic he absolutely destroys. Kandy is honestly the reason I started playing caustic way back in the day
Technically its not a nerf because you will fight less caustics and they waste ammo and time on the traps
I appreciate this nerf cause I feel like people who only play caustic and never any other defense characters rarely realize how much more stragetic wattson and rampart have to be to not let their abilities be immediately destroyed upon placement. He's still probably one of the fastest of the three to pick up in my opinion because of the ability to do easy defense AND easy damage.
They keep needing caustic because it's not fun or easy for streamers to push him. They need to just change his class type. It's getting ridiculous

If I was going to change something about the nerf it would be that the gas lingers longer after the trap is destroyed, visually the gas lingers for about 8 seconds but the damage only persists for 2 after the trap is destroyed. Fix that and I think the nerf doesn’t hit nearly as hard, frankly it’s not that bad imo anyway.

No one cares about the caustic gas, they just push right through because it doesn’t feel dangerous. People at least move away from knuckle clusters

Honestly, Respawn has no idea what they're doing now. Only logical thing that explains it would be all their resources are tied up working on something we don't know about. Otherwise, "shiiits weak!"

I agree with you about Caustic getting this nerf that now allows it to be defended so easily. The only thing that caustic has is his Gas that is all. Most legends have a few different things or at least a lot of movement ability to do it. Caustic only has gas. Either give caustic 9 traps now since they can be broken
What if the Caustic Ult covered the ground in sludge so that enemies are slowed in the aoe. Smaller, but deadlier aoe.

Rampart Got a Nerf No One Has Mentioned because there's so few Main Ramparts no one cares
But Now Cryptos Ultimate EMP makes Ramparts Sheila Unusable for a long time it even kicks you off the Turret That never was the case before it just destroyed your shields now it does both
