  1. this is the end of an era… for tf2, this really just cements the end of the "valve" era has passed (and probably did long time ago), now while nothing official about tf2 will come out in a long time if ever, now its the community's turn, we have the tools, we have almost everything tf2 related in our hands, we WILL keep the game alive for as long as we can, even if valve servers shut down and we couldnt do casual, we would even fix that, hell the only thing missing is releasing the source code for tf2

  2. dude… this fucking sucks

yeah it's awesome to have all this content we couldn't access before and we can learn from and screw around with but the fact they are straight up NEVER making another major update for this legendary pioneer of team based hero shooters is fucking awful and a crime. we are just gonna keep getting this small holiday updates that add fan designed cosmetics every year until the servers are shut down….

Valve needs to reconider this. maybe take some notes from popular games like Fortnite or something. make a major update and have a collab costume that turns the closest ressembling class INTO that character without changing any pre existing weapons or stuff like that

  3. Don't really understand what your deal is with making the asset leak about "Oh no TF2 is over guys!!!111" especially when this we have all this content to work with in the community. Its not really gonna affect anyone else playing the damn game. It sounds like you're just being a clickbaity sensationalist or a really shitty doomer. I just don't get your point…

And even then the latest content in this leak only go up to 2016, so we don't even have "everything". Why don't you mention that info?

  4. I'm really not sure how a leak of their database as it was from 2016 says anything about TF2 being dead? This leak is from during the jungle inferno development cycle. Of couse there wasn't any unseen content in it, the unseen content was jungle inferno but this leak is of such an old version of their repository that the leaked "new" content has already released. We would see something different if this leak was 2023 source files and not 2016.

  5. Oh, come on. I'm not holding out hope or anything but the timelines don't match up – you're saying that this includes all game files from 2007-2015… 2015 was 8 years ago. You really think there's no chance something new has theoretically been developed in the last 8 years for TF2? I don't think this leak "confirms" anything, because the lack of major updates has already said more than a leak of 8 year old game files can.
