  1. On the one hand, I love the scale you've chosen, I love the focus on the starships being immense undertakings and they just seem like they will be the stars on a very detailed level with the crews, supplies, time taken to build, etc.

    On the other hand….EA is so far away! πŸ™

    Been on my wishlist ever since I saw UEG mention it, just watched Party Elite's overview. Even more excited for this now, can't wait to have something to scratch that starship combat itch.

  2. Just watched a review in the PartyElite channel. Very excited. Couple of thoughts that came to my mind when watching the video.
    Hiring officers – I think hiring officers shouldn't hit your population amount, if there is dozens or more people, should be easy to hire an officer. What should limit the number you can hire, is the willingness of people to take the job. Would you train for a job that you are never likely to get? Available officer positions should limit training for it. Maybe your fame and success could limit the interest to become officers. I wish to see that people for hire would be available only a limited time. The prospect not getting hired would make them train for some other job instead, or getting hired by someone else.
    Ammo – I hope beam weapons aren't limited by ammo.
    Ship building – In theory nothing would limit the size of ships or space stations you could build and use in space. Except the amount of building material, the labour cost to build it and the time to build it. Hence some sort of modular building would be a great system. Want a bigger transport ship? Possible, just add more modules into it. Same with space stations and warships. What's the usage of your ship? Depends what sort of building blocks it was made of.

  3. This, is what 'space opera' should be.
    Ships dancing toe to toe, their crew at stake, cramped in their tight corridors as guns, outdated, new, experimental, blaze through the deep, dark expanse of space. Jump signatures light up and fade down, space stations constructed from nothing, and reduced back to the void. But when all draws to an end, nothing has changed. Nothing but depleted and scattered asteroid belts, planets scorched to ashes by war, remains of once magnificent fleets floating lifelessly till eternity, and many, many a life lost to the void.
    War, war never changes.

  5. THIS GAME IS RAISING THE BAR SERIOUSLY IM SO HYPED!!!
    I really hope the AI is intelligent for all the intricate systems in this game, also really hope there is mod support BC IMAGINE A HALO RESKIN OF THIS GAME!!!
