Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure, exploration and factory automation elements where you can build your own galactic industrial empire from scratch.
In the distant future, the power of science and technology has ushered a new age to the human race. Space and time have become irrelevant thanks to virtual reality. A new kind of supercomputer has been developed – a machine whose superior artificial intelligence and computing capability will push humanity even further. There is only one problem: there isn’t enough energy in the whole planet to feed this machine.
You are a space engineer in charge of a project launched by the space alliance COSMO, tasked with a massive undertaking: constructing Dyson Spheres (a megastructure that would orbit around a star, harnessing all its power and energy) to produce the energy that humanity needs. Only a few decades ago, Dyson Spheres were considered a hypothetical, impossible invention – but now it’s in your hands… Will you be able to turn a backwater space workshop into a galaxy-wide industrial production empire?
Neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants, gaseous and rocky planets… There is a big and varied universe out there, waiting for you to gather all its resources.
Every playthrough will be unique: your universe will be procedurally generated every time you start a new game. There will be different types and distribution of stars, planets and resources. Will you manage to thrive and build your Spheres, no matter what the universe throws at you?
As a space engineer, you are expected to design your interstellar factory and production lines, not to micromanage every small package going back and forth. You have to transport materials from one planet to another, forming interstellar transport teams that gather resources and bring them to where they are needed.
Then, your resources can be transported between facilities through conveyor belts, and you’ve got the technology to help your buildings fit the grid automatically during the construction process. You’ve got the best tools COSMO can afford to build a massive-scale automated production line – the most efficient one ever seen in the universe!

Why am I hearing Jeff Bridges intro to Tron Legacy when I look at your main bus?
When placing conveyors, try pressing r or right arrow. That way you can do corners without having to hope it's aligned

I'm surprised you haven't started making Hydrogen or Duetronium Fuel Cells to power your mech

Biffa, you could have put the tier 2 belt makers inline ( extending the setup of the tier 1 line) with the tier 1 and had the output of the tier 1 as an input going to the tier 2 makers rather than running it up to the bus and then back down and then all you would have to do is run the 2nd ingredient belt down alongside the tier 1 belt input line. After all that is done you could have the output of the tier 2 belts at the and of the process for you to collect rather than running it up to the bus into a storage box or a IPS.

Some of your ILS are not powered, and you can upgrade conveyor belts by using the Upgrade function and holding SHIFT.

Hold down shift to accelerate in space. You can go faster than 100 m/s. 😛
After lift off your mouse pulls down because of the planet's gravity. It stops once you are far enough away.

Biffa, your definition of infinitely expandable and everyone else’s may not be the same if you’ve managed to use up a quarter of infinity already…
You know you can press shift in sail mode to fly faster? Makes it easier to stay on target 🙂
Alright, I am done with this Main Bus build Biffa and I should say this before.
First, you need to IPLS (lets just use this abbrevation as "to transfer the means of production by Interplanetary Logistics System) the water, crude oil (I also made a lot of Sulfuric acid and put that one too) and silicon into this Mars-Like planet. Liquid and silicon is what you require when you go deep down. There is no water to chug up on there.
Second, you can squeeze the miner machines, between 4 to 10 and bind them with splitter to create a one dense output lane of mines and place 10 to 15 smelters on that dense belt with mines on it. Then bring this output into the bus. Use this on your every vein areas to maximize the output. And I must say: Spaghetti alert, if you like spaghetti and brainstorming over how to lay belts from where to where but you'll get over with eventually.
Third, the further you go, more iron ingot is required. I suggest you to IPLS the iron from any planets you have landed so far. Mine Mars-Like planet does not have much iron veins unfortunately. And most of basic and intermediate items even buildings if you want to produce them automatically, they require iron.

Ps: I have automated the production of Interplanetary Logistics System, it is slow to build one but worth it.
Quick tip that i figured out on how to place the splitters side by side easily: Run your mech out of power, then your builder drones will move at a snails crawl to give you enough time to make the placement. I figured this out when I wanted to place a splitter for every item on the bus and had to make some 30 placements in a row.
