Finally checking out February's hottest new game (Valheim)

Valheim on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/892970/Valheim/

This came from my Stream on February 9th, 2021. Catch me live every day except Saturday: http://twitch.tv/Northernlion

Valheim is the hottest game of the month, and I can (kinda) see why! It’s a survival sandbox game with RuneScale-style skill-levelling, meaning you definitely punch trees but the more you do it, the better your character gets at it. Check it out!

  1. Hey NL,

Hope all is well with you and Kate and Luna!

Here's some context that you might enjoy.

As always, if not… Feel free to ignore!

Ska music has been going thru a phase I call Boss Revival, with a big focus on skinhead reggae, sometimes called boss reggae.

This was started by the rise of the aggrolites in LA around 2004-2006.

A lot of the ska scene changed right around that time.  Ska died in America, and the only thing that seemed to continue on was skinhead reggae outside the us.

So the term Boss Revival is significant in another way… I believe that the music of Jamaica is a gift from stellar culture based on true angel culture.

    "Why Jamaica?"

Because when the light touches it, it feels like a bird shape.  And it's been a very green island with lots of birds on it… So it was one of the most naturally angelic places on earth.

    .

So Boss Revival is an attempt to actually revive that angelic nature in ska itself, as the non-Jamaican ska didn't really carry that forward as clearly.

    .

    😔😧😢

I just discovered that a large section of the older British ska scene are racist and nationalist dicks who try to shame those who credit blacks and Jamaicans for creating ska.

I was called a racist because I want to see the aggressively white male ska music scene grow up a little and deal with it's Jamaican roots???

I also got attacked with sexist and nationalistic slurs by a select few, and I'm not sure why being American or being born with one ovary and a partially formed uterus is my fault or how that disqualifies me from this discussion???

I was accused of just seeking attention.  I do seek attention for this, not for myself.  But I DO believe that my sound system is being ignored by the oppressive white elements in the ska scene, specifically because I also embrace MODERN Jamaican music.

    This is what I posted, and got shouted at and personally attacked, instead of anyone having a conversation;

    .

I feel like it's pretty racist or just extremely clueless for a bunch of old white guys to desperately hang onto the music of Jamaican independence, and claim their culture as your badge of coolness?

I'm talking about oppressive people cherry-picking the parts of the cultures they oppress.  Its funny how they only seem to enjoy the celebratory dance music of 1960s Jamaica, and mysteriously reject anything serious and heavier that came after.

For real… Jamaican people and their culture moved on since 1964.

If you love ska but have a hard time even appreciating the messages in reggae, dancehall, and raggamuffin… I think you ARE a self-denying racist who is simply nostalgic for the days when Jamaicans were afraid to challenge white monarchy, less confident and easier for Brits to manipulate and bully.

Also, the music of Jamaica is a beautiful gift to our planet.  I'm tired of seeing it get whitewashed with skinhead worship. If you weren't a Jamaican miner who had to shave your dreads to keep the dust out, shaving your dumb British head to be "cool" seems like the ultimate clueless wannabe move imo.

The fact that blacks don't feel comfortable calling you folx on it just tells me they are worn out from white boomers pissing on everything they DIDN'T pioneer.

Especially the ones who keep trying to shove northern soul at ska fans.  The context of that isn't lost on me.

I feel like people who "only like 60s Jamaican dance music" should feel pressured to make ska something modern Jamaicans not only feel welcome in, but attracted to participate in again?

There are important social reasons young Jamaicans aren't excited about "old ska".  Wanna discuss that with me?  Because I think you should!  🙂

I'll probably delete this because WHY would you ever have to think about your racist appropriation of someone else's culture???  Right????

What about respecting the people who MADE that music your culture didn't make, by not acting like it belongs to YOU?

    .

It isn't theirs because of their SKIN COLOR.

Its theirs because it's the music of Jamaican history.  It was made by poor Jamaican people, and it specifically came from their experience.  If you are trying to be an active part of the ska scene, you should respect the Jamaican roots of ska, and it should CONCERN YOU that modern Jamaica isn't embracing "your scene".

If anyone can like anything with NO CONTEXT, then I guess I'll just declare myself the Prima Goddess of the British mod scene, and who are you to question it???

Don't "straw dog" at me and accuse me of claiming whites or people from outside Jamaica shouldn't enjoy it… Because that's obviously not my point.

This is my critique of the Boss Revival, where skinhead reggae has dominated the once thriving ska scene… but holy shit are you in for it if you post roots reggae, Ragga, or dancehall!

    .

Ok so that's what I wrote.

    Here's "why England".

XX Women are clearly the ones who have stolen the FORM of an angel of the garden, and are commanding servants thru matter, in the way only plants NEED to.

XX women are DEFINITELY not competing to earn it.

You want me to believe that blacks are using women like tools, then why haven't blacks been making women COMPETE, and punishing women for choosing a white male husband?

I HAVE noticed women siding with white business culture. Women didn't turn into wiggers en masse over the 80s and 90s, men did.

If you think white men are innocent, then how did you all decide to attack the mostly white culture of fags, trannies, and drag queens?

It's seeming MORE likely that whites and WOMEN are the ones doing the decision making.

If you want to change XX WOMEN, you won't be able to do that by only focusing on darker skinned people.

The deserts were DEFINITELY caused by land that was growing HUSBANDS AND SLAVES instead of plant behaviors.

There is very little "sex and gender" difference between darker and lighter skinned ethnicities. So if XX women are the clear PROBLEM, then why focus on skin color AT ALL?

    .

Darker people were clearly being held back, technologically… and limited to things like "remixing culture".

Have you been gifting white people with TECHNOLOGY and wealth, because women stole plant fertility?

The entire case for darker skin to be the problem requires them to have control over women, thru u.v.

But darker skinned people have been the ones pushed INTO SERVICE over the centuries. and that didn't change women stealing plant fertility.

In fact, women have gotten more and more out of control, as darker people and males have been limited more and more by evolution.

White skin might be the most broken Chlorophyll of all.

So, let's get about the business of obliterating white husbands and wives!

    .

Reminder: chlorosis was probably the original ecosystem's attempt to fully plant reclaim the non-angelic.

And it died trying to take down the white women of England. That's pretty good evidence that their skin evolved BREAKING chlorophyll.

England has YET to produce an angel of the garden that can stand up to XX WOMEN and fully plant reclaim husbands and wives of "Adam and Eve".

I think the white ska racists refuse to acknowledge Jamaican heritage because they would have to explain why they DIDN'T earn it, and how white people got all their extremely anti-garden-angel technology.

Does that mean the genetic info of plant immunity was replaced with British culture?

Would actually explain the British music invasion, and a few other things.

Like why xx womanhood was being commanded with the name "Libby", and associated with The Queen.
