Some of phoenix’s kit should be wholly redesigned imo, there’s not really a slot for jack of trades units in this game. Brims stim buff should radiate off him rather than the ground as well as the suggested changes
i agree about movspd buff but making the spike defuse faster doesnt make sense
I don’t know about the others, but I really like Omen. He’s my go-to if my main (Viper) gets auto-locked or otherwise. I like how each controller has their own niche in a team. Astra has incredible map presence, Brimstone is so simple it lets him focus on taking gunfights, and Viper can really help isolate and lockdown sites. Omen, I think, operates well as a lurker, supporting his team by restricting the opposing team’s backward movement.
That said, I think giving Omen’s smoke its travel speed would be nice. I didn’t start playing until semi-recently, so I’ve always had to deal with the slow ones. On top of that, giving it a deterrent effect would be good – maybe something simple like deafening everyone else while they are in it (Omen excluded).
His shrouded step is interesting. I think this is a piece of his kit that really emphasizes lurking and solo play, rather than for support. That said, I’d still do a few things to it.
First, increase the audible range of the starting point of the teleport while making the volume more or less the same within its range. This would be to make it more vague while playing into the “I am everywhere” paranoia thing he’s got going.
Second, move Omen’s view-point to the destination almost immediately during the channel and, perhaps, a slightly swifter channel time.
Third, a range increase to where he can go. Nothing absurd, maybe a few meters… and also perhaps a max range indicator on the minimap for some quality of life. I’d even go as far as to let it go through walls, too.
I think his Shrouded Step is a really neat ability, but I personally wouldn’t want it to rival Jett or Chamber in terms of head-to-head functionality considering his theme.
Overall, I think Omen is interesting. Controllers often excel at denying space and setting up their team for easier engagements. The threats are quantifiable – molotovs, poison, and astral stars – and, to an extent, predictable. Omen, on the other hand, can deny space by making himself into a threat – something that can always be looming just around the corner.
honestly i think by buffing older characters to be at the same level as newer ones is a big contributer to power creep. I think the best thing to do would be to nerf other characters like jett and astra to be more in line with the weaker ones. Despite this, i do agree with some of these changes, especially the brimstone one and the phoenix burning effect (probably need to decrease the actual damage of his molly and wall in return though) as for omen, i think making his allies immune to his flash would be fantastic.

Phoenix:
-Overheal that decays after a certain duration, making his heal more useful (even if not thst strong)
-Ult turns Phoenix armor into overheal that will start decaying after ult ends, making it not a waste of armor
-Ult price increase +1
Omen
– Faster travel speed for smokes
– He can save 2 extra ult points (shown on a different color)
– Ult gets allows him to position an extra copy of him. All the copies will appear at the same time with no visual difference (the player stays tied to the first copy he creates of him).
– The other copies pov will be shown on split screen allowing him to get more info and confuse enemy players trying to guess which is the real one.
– Ult price +1per extra copy (max. 2)
Brimstone
– Global range smokes acording to concept
– Stim beacon gives debuff resist 50%: flash/ stuns debuff run out twice faster and utility damage reduced 50% making his beacon good defensive utility
– Stim beacon price increase
– Ult makes a noise that wont let nearby players recognize sound as steps nor spike defuse sound according to concept
I think these ideas are funny, nit sure if they are balanced, lemme kniw what you think or what youll tweak/ add to this
I think if brims stim actually reduced the spray of guns by like 25% it would be super interesting to see what people do with that. More people would pick him up and maybe there is a % spray reduction that is just right.

Aspects except his wall where he gets out classed by a far margin by neon’s and viper’s walls. Make he wall like 70% longer and I think he will be good.
Astra needs a buff, maybe two more stars and not being limited to specific uses for any of them would put her in a good spot

Stim beacon should reduce the time you get flashed for, reduce time you get vulnerabled for and every status effect it should reduce because it’s a STIM beacon

Man has skill of a immortal but no iq when it comes to what to do during a gun fight, didn't reload, ran through the killjoy nade even though u can use the boxes, ignores the bot and lowering hp + Reyna dies, dies to the same killjoy because of stupid mistakes

One great idea for a Phoenix buff would be to add some movement mechanic to his kit. Like increased movement speed while in his Molly, and while in his wall as well as extra armor from the healing similar to Reyna.
As an omen main, I never buy or use the Shrouded step ability. The smokes and blind are fine, but his Shrouded step sux bolls

I think the Phoenix wall acting like Viper wall is a great idea, it increases the risks that come with pushing that wall. Another thing they could do is that when Phoenix heals himself with the molly he shouldn't need to stand on the molly the whole time like how reyna can move anywhere while healing. And reducing flash costs sounds great

one thing i think would be good for phoenix is to remove the delay before damage i starts to be inflicted in his molly. i cant tell you how many times i escaped on one HP from a phoenix molly, and survived, without even doing a single bit of damage. the DPS on the molly is good, this is the only problem.

Ok, here are my takes:
Phoenix might be a jack of all trades, but part of that is his ability to heal himself. How often do you use a molly properly AND heal yourself at least a little? For the wall its even harder, because it heals way slower.
So I would rework the healing like this:
-no longer heals by contact with his abilities(still no self damage of course)
-when casting any ability he gets a healing effect like sage's heal. The effect stays for 6sec and heals up to 50hp of how much he lost in that duration.
-additionally I would like to change the wall, so it doesn't end up shorter because you throw it upwards. Like Viper, the angle should not affect the range
I agree that the stim beacon is quite weird, Brim is the execution controller, why does he have a stationary buff field in the first place? He could at least keep it on his back…

i'm pretty sure the omen buff was just a roumor among the community and a member of the valorant team tweeted about it and said something along the lines of ''i was surprised when i heard about this supposed buff'' and alsodoesn't brim's stim beacon already give a movement speed buff?
I think the phoenix burn effect could be like a chypher cam chip(you can take out the fire with f) and it takes away 1 hp every 0.1 second, if the player gets healed the effect instantly gets removed. And maybe add that it can deal 50 damage, and the damaging starts after 3 seconds so you can survive without taking a 1 hp damage if you take out the fire fast but in a 1v1 it would be risky.

Give only one stim beacon charge, maybe make it cost more, but it does healing, like a stim from cod heals you up
I always play brimstone but on breeze i play viper. i dont think brim is bad cause you have 3 smokes, your smokes are not hollow like other
Id love for a Phoenix buff
as a phoenix main, longer flash duration, give him a flash every kill, increase ult duration and have the ability to cancel the ult at any time. Since phoenix is getting power crept by skye, i think getting a flash every kill will make him more viable for quick and close fights. Because of this i think changing his flash from 2 to 1 would be better, but you can have 2 max if you kill someone.
I’m an omen main in like gold/play lobbies, but with his current kit and all that, it’s not even bad, it’s just that It’s way easier to play other controllers like viper.
The enemies who see the omen ulting should get paranoid/deaf (or a similar effect of a reyna blind) for a few seconds. An ability to cancel his Shrouded Step at the last moment would be cool as well.
I think an interesting buff for omen will be that if he places a floating smoke it wont come down …making lot more one way options and creative lurking
this will also differenciate him from fellow controllers
I like omen ult as utility. What would be wild though, is giving him 4 fake tps and a real one. It is called paranoia after all. Seeing a lot of omen tps with any being a potential real one would be cool, and it wouldn't even have to change current function except selecting 4 fakes before the real location, and being able to choose to keep or cancel the real one like always. Useful for either mapwide concern, sitewide decoys to bait shots or attention, or clutching a 2v1 or something.
(oh, and because yoru gets it, a player that shot an omen ult shadow gets blinded/nearsighted)
Would take improvement on his smokes as well, more consistency on using his smokes for one way would be nice like with Jett smokes, his cast is unique in providing exact altitude so might as well just take away the gravity affect on smokes and make it float as a feature. Duration and recharge improvements also welcome.
FYI, you can use his ult for :
1) recover spike and cancel tp
2) early game jungling the map from enemy spawn
3) late game quick rotate
4) Intel, basically a free cipher cam in a clutch scenario or spike defense.
5) the minimap disable in combo with killjoy or brim ults, so enemy has a delayed coherent response to the position of the ult.
Idk if this already is in the game but phoenix molly, if you are already at 100 hp it could also fill the shield
I agree with everything but anything to do with mobility. I don’t think mobility is great in a tactical shooter like valorant or csgo. I am not completely against the idea but I’d rather not have some sort of mobility creep.

There's only going to be a perpetual state of imbalance to funnel gamers into doping out on that power spike laced with mundane point systems and meaningless skin purchase traps in between. Using players like rats in a sandbox. For all the flashy tech each agent brings to bear, most of them have really incompetent ways of waging their battles. Even the generic foot soldier in cs:go has unrestricted access to frag grenades and flashes. If the game was based on intel, no one in their right mind would be yelling out audio queues on supers for their opponents either or I could be yelling a feint and not using those abilities instead? Alas. This game a long way to go. Too long.
