There are a lot of reasons Icebox is the most hated map in Valorant.
People hate the way it’s designed, the way it makes you play the game, and even how it launched with a bunch of stupid bugs.
But for some reason, one man has always loved Icebox: Shroud.
And over the last few months, he’s helped convince people that Valorant’s most divisive map might be kind of an underdog.
In fact, it might just be the most important map in Valorant.

I honestly always loved ice box.
Ascent is definitely the worst map. Ice box is decent. Breeze is the best
I love this map because of its versatility. Unlike Ascent where mid is the only area to contest
This is basically what Riot does best. They "copy" a game then they go to their own way of updating/introducing new stuff and basically being their own game
icebox designer deserves to be fired
Valorants biggest issue is how bad some of these maps are. Icebox, Breeze, just suck. Haven's B bombsite is so useless. Theres no reason to push it because the CT retake is so ridiculously easy. Bind's teleporters are a poor excuse for a mid and a rotate because they're louder than a tornado siren, so good luck being stealthy. Split and Ascent are fine, I guess, but that's it. They're just "okay." No standout maps at all. They get boring extremely quickly. And the fact that ever map has to have "a reason to exist" or, as WarOwl put, a gimmick, is just dumb.
The game needs new better maps more than anything else right now.
hate icebox?
no I just hate the game in general.
got the icebox valorant advertisement tryna watch this
I LOVE ICEBOX,, IT BOOST AGENT ABILITY TO MAX
I love Icebox
Dude icebox is a decent map. Way better then breeze in my opinion.
Ice box is ok for me. I just love the environment.
I feel like the patch and then the release of breeze killed a lot of hate people had for icebox
i hate ice box because i always lose in that map
no matter what you do, no matter how long you try to learn where you have to watch for peeks…
Icebox will always be the one map that will pull off strange and sick kills.
Well, I agree that its not as bad as it was, and if played correctly, it opens tons of new strats, but for me as an Omen main, its still the worst map so far. I like Breeze a lot, and it counts also as this new kind of maps, so its not by the type, but by several minor things combined. …
Thing is on Icebox it's the flickers who can be the most important as so many angles and so less time to look at each one of them.
It's a Quake map in CS clone.
OMFG do we need more oppressive maps just because Shroud likes it? Can't we choose maps in matchmaking? What the fuck!?
icebox > breeze
now breeze is the one everyone dodges
i hate icebox, because are bad map, butt the worst part its, like 5 games you play, the 4.5 games are the fucking icebox, men wtf with that %
Hosts hair is going from "pls accept you are bald" to "alright I'm starting to get it" to weird LOTR/GoT character
I still hate it until now
I actually really like icebox, my only problem with it is i play it every 2 games. LET ME PLAY OTHER MAPS FOR GODS SAKE
The New Map Fracture is kind of like Icebox and I love it the map isn't to small maybe Icebox isn't bad after all
Players: Icebox is bad.
Newcomer(me): Why tho?
Then follows the algorithm to hate it.
