I like to believe there actually still is some of pump in there because that is this skids original one just turned into a puppet. So that little part of pump is why he gets afflicted and is able to act on his own accord. Unfortunately for BF that accord is trying to spread the corruption
Another thing I would like to believe is why this Bf is getting afflicted by the corruption more than normally is because this Skid isn’t a human unlike the originals. He actually has more strength and abilities that we saw can be used in this corrupted form
if you were wondering why pump was shacking a little is because the corruption is slowly taking over him.
