i like to think that in this ending sonic survived and was just a hallucination about his death if he didn't dodge furnace, it would be absurd that starved could fool / defeat super sonic when only he thinks is food

Imagine a system about rings in the mod.
Sonic would have 60 rings at the start of the song, if you miss 1 note, you loose 1 ring, if you miss 11 or more notes, you would get the true/bad ending, but if you miss 10 or less notes, Sonic would transform into Super Sonic, activating the "Super" part of the song, making it the good ending.

This would've made more sense if it was mystic sonic, a transformation with the time stones instead of le chaos emeralds, I still like this though because SUPER SONIC-

I have a theory that Sonic was hallucinating because of how scared he was let me explain so at the end of the song Sonic DOESN'T hit furnace but he was inches away from hitting him so he was extremely scared but somehow went super so he stopped worrying and started fighting back then after both eggman's flying thing and furnace run out of fuel Sonic is left to confront eggman and he was hallucinating during the confrontation because he was remembering how close he was from hitting furnace and he was hallucinating what a eggman would have done to him.
also since this is a good ending is furnace still cooking ray and Amy in this ending or did they escape and somehow tell the others and get all of the animals and a bunker and start some kind of hidden civilization away from eggman and Sonic was looking for animals like that one sonic.exe game? If you don't know what I'm talking about in the og mod furnace was cooking ray and Amy.
Another theory I came up with super Sonic uses his powers to reverse everything and saves the bird that died in the explosion in the original mod so none of this happens.
