When I heard the lyrics you added I thought about something.
So I guess you interpreted burning as corruption? Then this means, that Eggman knows, that he is inside a game, that's being corrupted and getting broken.
This is a million times better than the original and the lyrics make this songs motifs more catchy. I like adams music but it often gets repetitive with how he makes whole songs feel samey through the whole thing but I think you fixed it (not trying to hate on him or anything; I just noticed that about his music over time).
