(this dosent have much to do story wise but i thought this would be their attacks if they are combined into one character.) i think that if they do become playable the i think that the normal attacks would be in lyneys body but when you use the e skill then you switch into lynnettes body and your attacks become stronger. or it could be the other way around where lynette is the normal character and the stronger character is lyney but idk lol. or it could be sort of like keqings shadow clones where instead of shadow clones either lynette or lyney come out and do repeated attacks in one area then they dissapear and we go back to the original twin

I actually have a question, in the description of the Teyvat trailer, they're referred to as "Lyney and Lynette" while in the Snezhnaya part where Pulcinella appears, they're referred to as "Harbinger Pulcinella". Do you think that mihoyo is either hiding the fact that Lyney and Lynette are harbingers if this theory is true, or they're just not harbingers at all?
To me Lynete's look seems lowkey like a death stare. Idk
To me, Lyney seems the one controlled, Lynette just quietly being in charge from behind while Lyney is in the spotlight

I must say, this is still a possible theory. I mean it would be advantageous to have a local of each region as their spies. It's possible that their might be a harbinger in Mondstadt that we dont know off.
Also I theorize that we may face scaramouche as an enemy in Inazuma similar to Childe in Liyue. The vision hunt decree is still on going so sending a local spy is much more convenient than having another agent. Since the vision hunt decree demands anyone foreign must surrender their vision upon entering the region the only exception being the Inazuma locals.

Fontaine is the region I'm looking forward to the most and Lyney and Lynette are characters I wanna pull for. The theory that one or both could be Harbingers just makes it more interesting. We'll just have to see when it finally comes out, but it's still a very interesting theory regardless

its very possible, but i expect lynette to be the same harbinger title as lyney, but that would also mean the most important character of fontaine would be lyney and lynette, which wouldn’t make much sense since all the important regional characters other than them (diluc ningguang lisa’s teacher iansan) are not evil and for snheznaya well i expect most of it to he battling anyway so pulcinella or whatever makes sense to be displayed as the snheznayan representative as the final boss before yaldabaoth (unknown god/tsaritsa)
in the manga fatui are actively looking for new promising member from every region.
Because they appear together instead of as separate characters like the rest of people in the trailer, and being of different race it makes me think they could be two harbingers holding the same title: "Innamorati", "the Lovers" (5th or 10th?).
Given how outfit appearance itself is mostly unrelated to historicity of the title's lore in comedy and titles can be wholly unrelated to their constellation (Childe with Narval), the hint of double appearance (which could uniquely suggest Innamorati) seems a stronger clue to me.
