  2. I love the confusion in these podcasts. It's like you guys haven't been actually following things in the VR industry and just use VR when you're ready to make a video and nothing more. The reason Quest 2 was doing well in terms of having the product ready and manufacturing sorted out now is because of the new design and materials used over the stuff they used for Quest one which was one of the biggest issues for their production back then. They also said they'd have 2+million units ready, which is a lot for a device like this.

    Facebooks AR glasses are going to be more "Google glass" and less "Hololens/Magic Leap" if they release anything this year I predict. They even stated that it'll be more simplistic at first. What I would like to see is a Quest XR headset with color passthrough cameras set up so you can adjust their position to best fit your eye position it can calibrate the passthrough with more actual scale and depth. Something so devs and get started like what Apple is doing with their AR stuff on their phones and iPad.

    Move controllers suck. Dualshock works well and I find I enjoy using it for long-form VR games over MOVE. Rowdy complaining about something before actually trying it is typical and hopefully most people will brush it off as ignorance by a part-time VR guy and nothing more. VR is still a vastly more immersive medium than flat gaming so even if you're not fighting with jank move controllers because "vR nEeDs hAndDs". it'll still enhance the experience which is the point and is why adding VR to an entirely flat game is a nice gesture and we need more AAA developers to consider this over not at all. The jaded conversations in the podcast are soooo not typical of the average VR consumer and user that I find the biased, entitled ranting here hurtful. Try it first.

  3. Supernatural is pretty awesome. It keeps me engaged and, I have to admit, my body is looking pretty good because of it.

    And the reason why I paid for it is because the music is so much better, the environments you play in are exquisite, the trainers actually do motivate me as I'm working out, and they're releasing new workouts everyday.

    As a person who became bored with beat saber very quickly, a new workout everyday is essential if I'm going to keep doing it.

I have access on Beta of Horizon…. it is barely worth it just a poor excuse for a rec room/vrchat clone.. hopefully they have given more options but I KNOW people will be more nervous about hanging out in a program specifically controlled by FB even though they already have access … it has Facebook right in the name .. I think people will avoid it alot .

  8. Regarding Hitman 3: I'll take VR camera with a controller over no VR camera at all, but of course motion controllers would be cooler. Also people still love Alien Isolation with only a VR camera and gamepad.

  9. Great show guys. Few things i related to. I’m a lefty and doom VFR To this day looks stunning but unplayable because no lefty action. I backed tilt five summer 19 looking forward to try it but might not keep. Going to download doom 3 for Q2 nice shout Nathie and the cheap trackers are great for simmers as motion rigs can use them for motion compensation.

  11. Just want to say something about Holofit. I love it because I use a Concept 2 Rower. As Nathie said, if you have the equipment, it's great! I don't mind the low quality visuals–it's nice to row through Cambridge or a fantasy world in Antarctica. I've been using it through VD, and I'm so happy to have it added to the Quest store–one less step. I don't know if it's changed, but it is a pain to use with YUR, which I don't use yet but many of my games do.

  12. I've been thinking of trying holofit. You can get a bt sensor to use on a bike or crosstrainer (if your equipment doesn't have Bluetooth ) from Holofits website for about £35. Looks pretty good and anything that helps the boredom of exercise must be worth a go 😉
