Well here it is, Mega CD Locked on Demo 3! It’s been an honor working on this.

We’ve completely re-done the art to match the Junio artstyle as close as we could (Thanks to Naoto Ohshima giving tips on drawing the artstyle!). The mod has never looked better! Some pre-existing songs got remixed aswell giving the mod a nice fresh coat of paint it needed. If you hated Demo 1 and 2 then maybe try Demo 3, you might change your mind. There was a reason we called this demo the “Redemption Demo” in the mod team!

Some keen-eyed people might have noticed that some songs were removed from demo 2 into demo 3, the reason we did this was either we didn’t think it sounded that good or just wasn’t fun to play. We want to keep the bar high for quality moving forward with the full ass mod, that especially applies to all the cutscenes. The cutscenes were removed, as we want to remake them for the full ass mod, and we want to give you quality animations. So for now the story is lost, but that’s okay.

This demo was a bit rushed, so sadly we had to cut a bunch of content that will be in the final mod, but other than that this is a pretty complete demo. It’s definetely been a journey working on this mod considering everything we do will still be criticized no matter how much we improve lol.

Friday Night Funkin’ is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.
