Friday Night Funkin’ is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.

The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn’t approve of him. It’s up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?

Friday Night Funkin’ is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. The game is also open source to allow users to mod or simply look through its assets.

  3. my fav song was Splendid because of James' theme and the GOD DANG AMAZING RUNAWAY THEME GOSH SO GOOD 10:49 that's a banger part there is 1 problem in Splendid its when James is on Runaway I think you should make him go faster and I liked on ugh remix you used black James maby add a song were you play as Thomas chasing black James runaway with his breaks on fire it should have the runaway theme as well it should be called runaway.

  9. Wow😅 bf and gf were honestly kinda mean In This mod they caused henery to be dalead they caused james to have an accident and they drove gordon insane and at the end they caused all three of them to get in trouble this honestly make me feel bad for gordon james and henry

  11. I loved Henry’s song but I just need to nit pick one tiny detail, if that was before kipper Henry then he shouldn’t have his exterior steam pipes (I forget what they were called but the green triangles in front close to his face) Aldo keep in mid this only shows up in cutscenes
    But still overall this is a great mod
