Fungal Necromancy – Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access Playthrough – Episode 12

Welcome to the Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access Gameplay Series! In this Playthrough we will discover the first chapter of Baldur’s Gate III, the new party based roleplaying game made by Larian Studios. I will cover character creation, storyline, character progression, level-ups, loot, equipment, dialogue and many more things. Baldur’s Gate 3 is based on Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. With the turn based combat backed up by the DnD 5E rules this game has potential to become the tactical RPG of the year as soon as it is fully released.

Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power. Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil. From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.

Choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes, or play as an origin character with a hand-crafted background. Adventure, loot, battle and romance as you journey through the Forgotten Realms and beyond. Play alone, and select your companions carefully, or as a party of up to four in multiplayer. Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power. That power may help you to survive, but there will be a price to pay, and more than any ability, the bonds of trust that you build within your party could be your greatest strength. Caught in a conflict between devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, you will determine the fate of the Forgotten Realms together.

  1. U have to light the torch using fire. I find it easiest to have a candle and drop it on the ground as a fire source and dip the torch in it. For the encounter, It entered turn based mode to give you an opportunity to spread your guys out and not take massive dmg when it jumped outta the ground. When u have people making death saves its easier to turn on turn based mode so you can get the people up without wasting time

  2. Ok so I looked it up and lighting a torch is complicated, you have to equip it then use the dip bonus action to dip it into an existing fire source such as when you blew up this spores and it left fire everywhere you can not dip into another players source of fire such as another torch it has to be a primary source of fire a d a torch is considered a secondary source I got the information from here

  3. This game will be great if they can fix all the bugs! Your lack of a light source is really screwing you over, you have disadvantage on all your attacks which is why you are missing so much and can't sneak attack.

  4. I think you have to use the hook horror's multiattack action to get them to make two attacks; it seems to be like sneak attack. Just clicking on someone uses a single attack.

  5. Also, potions of poison are supposed to look like potions of healing: "This concoction looks, smells, and tastes like a potion of healing or other beneficial potion. However, it is actually poison masked by illusion magic." They're a trap!
