It will never be the game they promised no matter how many patches/updates they release. They lied. And keep on lying. don’t support them anymore.
While the investors are important they need to do damage control now they have to repair their brand now and the last time that they took a dip they panicked and they released the game earlier then it was rdy for these companies need to stop and take their time when they build these games and there’s an industry they need to get away from this whole let’s release it now will fix the problem later mindset if anything in the last few years has established that that is becoming a disgusting pattern in the gaming industry but I love how these media outlets are totally going after them saying they should’ve just waited to release the game when the original stock issues that happened with the company was caused by the media who before the game came out started constantly saying the game is never going to come out it’s going to be canceled it doesn’t exist we just went probably through one of the most trying years for the video gaming … well for everybody really what they really needed to do was come out in December and say we want to release the game but it’s not ready we had setbacks want to push it off till next year and unfortunately on the players when you get right down to it that was all we had in the later quarters of the year it was the only hope players had that something good will come from last year
But with the future of this IP on the line they have to do right by the player base
Hey… You also watch YongYea XD pretty honest and good channel
This is why my gaymer household has the policy of NEVER buying anything game-related on first launch, not games, not consoles, not devices, none of it! We wait at least 1 yr after launch before even considering it! We look at all of the public reports of how it's handled and if they made a comeback which is why I'm enjoying games like ESO to this day! I subbed to ESO and I've been playing ever since, making a positive change is never a bad thing, corporations that miss that learn the hard way but sadly it seems most shareholders still have no clue about this problem because they force these devs to release unfinished products despite the long long history of it never working out!
I maintain that Cyberpunk is an amazing game. I played it on a mid-to-low spec PC and experienced bugs but nothing game-breaking. I put over 100 hours on my first playthrough and it was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. Its crazy to me to see so many people writing off the game entirely and talking like its a bad game. It's an amazing game. Yes it had one of the worst launches in a long time, but this was almost exclusively for older-gen consoles. Especially now after the 1.2 update it's very playable and definitely worth a shot.
I'm also glad to see CDPR recognizing where they went wrong and making plans to fix it. We'll see if they actually do.
Talk is cheap. They can say all they want about improving the company but I'll believe it when I see it.
RIP CDPR. They are falling into the same trap as so many software companies… sad
the stock drop reminds me of the futurama scene where fry makes a speech and planet express stock goes up and down in real time for everything he says 🙂 we're going to change everything (yay). we're not going to over hype things (huh…) we're going to hire more people (boo) 😀 i
t's pretty amazing that the sort of bad behavior didn't result in a change of leadership, unless, the ceo owns more than 50% of the stock?
The worst part is becase this was a 'good' update. It showed me i just dont like the game. I through on gta 5 after..and a much older games systems just work in every way better.
Why did they not change the zoom of the map when in vehicles?.
The game looks the same..so SHIT
Where the hell is he seeing $190?!? Google em and u get $12.75. da fuck?
whining about crunch is stupid that be like me whining about mandatory OT at work of 6 days a week 12 hours a day
Even a game that manages to eventually deliver what it promised to (No Man's Sky coming to mind) it still has the stigma of vile "business strategy" slapped all over it. What makes CDPR think Cyberpunk will be any different?
I did actually have much more fun playing cyberpunk then the witcher 3, but still overall disappointed with cdpr.
You can keep waiting, but there is no way they will be able to patch in (or even release DLC for) the game to make it even half of what it was marketed to be.
The laughable lifestyle choice for the unique prologue introduction on top of that video montage of an actual interesting storyline. Watch they actually sell us those 6 months as DLC to play through.
I wonder how it feels to be one of the people who defended this game and being SO wrong. Even cancelling the multiplayer? That was the only hope of me ever returning to the game. What a colossal failure of a game and hopefully less people buy from CDPR in the future. Just remember this, guys. Fanboys will obviously never learn but they’ll just have to suffer agai and again, forget about them.
Hopefully they’ll realize and just stfu next time. Save themselves more embarrassment.
by traditional,do you mean REAL ?
The dip can be explained with CDproject increasing Staff, benefits and better work Environment. That costs alot of money, which then can't be taken by Investors.
I worked in corporation for long enough to know that when an employer talks about values, missions, employee welfare and such, that its just PR and nothing else. Call me cynical, but I just eyerolled.
Eeh… it's not about the length of the marketing cycle, it's about honesty. Shortening the cycle doesn't achieve anything by itself. You can still lie for your grand reveal nearer to release. CDPR lost a lot of credibility as far as I'm concerned. The Outriders folks made them looked preeeetty bad.
Long story short: Cyberpunk is a Steam early access game.
what the fuck has "diversity" to to with making a good game? diversity of what? i baffles me that (for example) cultural or sexual diversity are marketed as inherently good things. they can be good things, they often just lead to friction, especially in a work environment!
