  1. I was fully ready and waiting to rag on Cyril for dropping the ball on the news this week and…well…dammit…he did a damn good job.

…it seems the gauntlet is laid down and I gotta bring the pain and some learnin next week.

  2. Well, downloaded that CastleVania Demo, and using my Demul, tried it out a bit. Interesting game, though like many 3D games of the like, the camera work is a bit of a problem. As for the question, hmmm, maybe that Stay True Stay You and Being a Dik are both in a shared universe of such, in that Jill, one of the girls in Being a Dik shows up on the TV screen when the MC turns on the TV in Stay True Stay You.

  3. Yes! I saw Castlevania's E3 demo leaked this week and just needed to find some CD-Rs… well for that and also a bunch of those Atomiswave games that were made available for Dreamcast a few months ago. I finally found some at a Rite-Aid when I went to get my second vaccine dose and now I am ready to feed my DC some new (old) games (and demos)! Thanks for linking in the description, Cyril.

I also admit I have a sick curiosity for what Nu-Konami's up-to. What with all the rumors about them shopping titles like Silent Hill, Metal Gear and Castlevania to devs worldwide, they'll hopefully end up putting out some interesting stuff this gen… even if, on principle, it'll get hated into oblivion anyway 😛 Still, I just want to see what happens… hopefully some smaller IP with less toxic fanbases will see revivals. Silent Hill and Metal Gear fanbases may not welcome anything in that series from new developers, but I'm pretty sure there'd be lots of fans of Ganbare Goemon, Rocket Knight or Bomberman that just want to see new downloadable entries in those series' done in the style of classic games like Goemon 2 SFC or Bomberman 64, just with shiny HD 3D art 😀 Games like Bomberman R Online (that Battle Royale one) are a step in the right direction, imo.

What did I learn this week: I learned that if you buy Ratchet & Clank Future: Into the Nexus on PS3's PSN, you get Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty for free, for some reason (it's not advertised at all in the description afaik). Sony's idiotic nonsense about closing legacy stores made pick up a sh** ton of games for the PS3 and PSTV last month, but I didn't get around to nabbing Nexus until yesterday. All the news about Rift Apart made me curious to finally check out that last original Ratchet game. And yeah, I was super surprised to see I was getting a 2-for-1 there! So that's neat! No complaints from me (^-^)

It is WILD how much better Nexus looks than Quest for Booty, btw. Considering all the Ratchet Future titles on the PS3 use the same engine (versus the side-games handled by Insomniac North Carolina; All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault), and the fact that there was only something like 4 years between those releases I think. Quest looks almost like the PS2 games, with flat lighting, simpler materials and less expressive characters. Nexus has astoundingly well-rigged and animated characters, with much shinier materials that are lit so much better. It kind of blew me away.

Why are you frustrated with AEW right now btw?

  4. I got my PS5 last year by following this guy on Twitter who tweets whenever it's suddenly in stock somewhere. I happened to be available when he tweeted it was at Amazon and immediately bought one. I would suggest that method, if you still can't get one.

  5. I'm positive the queen didn't play that wii at all.

Also castlevania resurrection is a bit rough. Guess it was growing pains since those 3d castlevanias didn't get good until the ps2.

Konami continuously disappoints me while capcom has taken a huge place in my gaming time.

QOTD, I've learned monster hunter rise players are really divisive over whether to capture or slay a monster during a hunt.

  6. Speaking onthe queens Wii, did u remeber or notice that in House of Cards with Kevin Spacey, in season one, his character, vice p[resident Frabk underwood, was playing PS Vita dn even mentrioned it by name. a very weird product placement indeed, unlikely this character would have a VITA. He never mentioned it aghain after that one episode.

  7. Oh boy don't get me started on AEW. It's so frustrating to watch. Botches, factions after factions, story lines that sometimes doesn't go anywhere, the rushed storyline between Inner Circle and the Pinnacle, etc, etc. And here I was thinking they would give me a reason to watch wrestling again.

  8. At this point I wonder (about stadia) – are google's projects that massive, that even something like a searchbar can slip someone's attention for a year, or are they so massively incompetent with implementing their shit from the get-go?
