Gearing up to the top bracket of ballpark ilevel 190 will take some time and effort – don’t expect it to happen quickly or effortlessly! With this taste of reality out of the way, I’m happy to share with you everything you need to know about casual ways of gearing up your alts in Shadowlands patch 9.0 – Slow and Steady way!

🔥 I admit that I’ve missed out on including PvP as a major source of gearing in this guide – please look out for a follow-up video that will tell you about how to do that! 🔥

I’ll tell you what gear is really easy to obtain, what to look out for, what is worth your attention immediately and what could be left alone for a while, as you focus on the other and more impactful elements of your gearing up.

This guide is “COMPLETE” from my perspective as a casual solo player, 2 weeks into Shadowlands expansion, very early on, while the sources of gear are somewhat limited, but we have clear horisons and perspectives that are opening in front of us and allowing us to plan our casual gearing journeys.

  4. Great vid, the mission table does scale at least to 160 i see so far.
    I would say that m0 is roughly the same difficulty, as hc because a lot of high geared people queue for it.
    I have not been enjoying torghast at all, not fun and very time consuming, also like the maw. Enchanting has been very useful.

  5. Good stuff Gyro. I’ll be using a bunch of these pointers for my alts which I’m looking to start levelling. FYI That epic chest does scale with ilvl. I got a 171 conduit from it today and have heard it even drops 170+ gear.

    I just got my bad boy DK to Ilvl 171 with heroics and some pvp (basically all solo queue content). I’m so casual that I don’t dabble much in even organized mythic 0’s as I could be summoned IRL any second with two kids.

    After a few more covenant chapters and renown we will be able to upgrade our covenant gear with just anima and won’t have to rely on PVP much, but honestly at this point unrated PVP is such an easy and time efficient way to fill in missing gear slots right now especially to get ilvl 170 for LFR castle nathria.

    Now it’s just a waiting game for LFR with covenant fun, torghast, and levelling professions to build a legendary. I agree with you about using professions for legendaries to save $$$ especially since there is no rush.

Looks like I've missed out BIG TIME on including PvP rewards in this guide, as those are really easy to get, not super demanding in terms of PvP skill or patience, and you guys definitely need to consider those in your gear pursuit… I'll release another video soon-ish, detailing PvP gear acquisition. THANKS TO AT LEAST TWO OF MY PEOPLE who told me about PvP situation!
