Xiao is an Anemo based polearm user with a fast-paced moveset, with an Elemental Skill that allows him to lunge forward twice(three times with a constellation) and an Elemental Burst(Ultimate) that amplifies his damage and causes all his normal attacks to convert into Anemo Damage(Much like Chongyun’s Elemental Skill).
As such in this video we review all weapons both five star and four star, that may be used on Xiao when he releases in patch 1.3
Xiao may change due to how powerful his character was in the Beta and how his moveset depended on his Plunging attack in his Ultimate State. This may be especially true given how Zhongli was nerfed in comparison to what was initially expected
Gladiator’s Set is a decent set if you plan to use him as your main DPS, as it provides a flat attack% increase.
If you’re of a lower Adventure Rank then the Gladiator’s Set and Berserker’s set both accomplished a similar effect to a full Gladiators set piece.

I already prepared a lot of artifacts for xiao and really lucked out on it, i have crit dmg and rate on nearly every artifact. With xiao's crit rate acention stats i'd be already at 88-93 % crit rate. So my Skyward Spine is really a blessing for me to recharge his Ult. Even though i have jean, i don't want to be too dependent on other anemo characters for his energy recharge.

I think SkyWard is the 2nd best coz I don't have Venti nor I use Sucros.

I'm f2p and haven't summoned much because I'm saving for Xaio. I have only 10 stargliter and I'm unable to get the blackcliff. However il get more stargliter when I summon for Xiao. Unfortunately this will be when the shop resets and I think the weapon they will have is the royal spear. Is this a good spear for Xiao?
With my set up I’ll have around 53% crit rate and 180% crit damage. I’ll probably have to grind to reach 60% crit rate.

Crit Damage is what you want to build on Xiao since his ascension stats are crit rate, most youtubers say you need 70% crit rate to crit and it’s bullshit I crit a lot at just 48-50%, now crit damage to get big numbers you definitely need more than 160% , lord plz put Skyward Spine on weapon banner

You missed Skyward Spine?Definitely Skyward spine will be the best overall, he can't gain Eenergy back from Q right? There will be a dps loss. He is Bursty like Xingqui and should stay at his Q. Her normal attack and charge attack number of hits increased better than those two 5vstar weapons you showcased. Plus he can use his Q more often lol.

i have deathmatch, but i do think blackcliff is better for xiao in overall dmg. should i still use deathmatch for him even though it has low base attack or buy blackcliff in the shop?
I dont understand when utuber suggest weapon with physical damage on xiao.. Just explain pls.. Why? When he get into his burst all the physical stat is useless.. Am i wrong?
Skyward or cresent which should I go with
im struggling between two weapons because i dont own any 5* polearms, first choice would be the Crescent Pike which has 565 attack on lvl 90 with a pretty good weapon bonus on charged attacks, and the Deathmatch, which has only 454 attack on lvl 90, but a bonus that gives more atk%, in my opinion both of them are pretty good for budget players, but its way easier to farm refinement on the Crescent Pike. Hope it helped for some players like me 😛

I think genshin give it for free (or new craftable) for 1.3 event later. Maybe its a good weapon for xiao idk. But maybe they will change the passive later who know
