  1. I wish people understood how difficult game development is. GI was announced in 2018 and it took 2 years to finish the release build of 1.0. How can people expect Mihoyo to develop new zones every 6 weeks? Is that a joke?

Major MMOs get patched every 3 months for what? A couple dungeons, a few QOL stuff, and maybe some filler content that lasts 2-3 weeks… And thats every THREE months.

Christ. GI is a games as a service — and people who keep wanting more and more content are imbeciles. Seriously Mihoyo adds enough content to keep doing 'new' stuff for at least 4 of those 6 weeks… and the last 2 weeks of the cycle is generally good for working on other characters or preparing for the next update — which will have new characters… It doesn't matter if it's 'filler' content because it's still different from the usual commissions and resin routine.

Also — it doesn't matter how many people are working on GI. Do people think Mihoyo will just spend 6 weeks developing "The Chasm" too? They've been working on that as well as new characters ALONG SIDE content they are releasing on the 6 week cycle.

  2. Maybe MiHoYo should consider giving small-scale teasers / "leaks" just so that players can look forward to something, and create their own hype for their own product, rather than having other people leak it.

  3. Yeah, I was thinking about this as well.
Why are they crying about leaks in Genshin if you can literally livestream beta contents in Honkai?
