Why does everything has to be political why is it if companies change the skin tone people automatically think racism without looking at any other point of view
You really need to stop with the whole 'There's no content" BS. They release new content on a SCHEDULE every 6 weeks. There is always something to do. If you cant log in and find something to do, you're not trying. Period.
"No Combat" in the previous event? Do you mean the event with literally the single hardest boss battles in the games entire history? Boss battles that made the final floors in the Spiral Abyss look like lvl 36 domains?

As far as the 'whitewashing' stuff mentioned at the beginning. That is 100% on China and its regulations. Does it suck? Yeah a lot, but you cant blame MiHoYo for that. There is literally nothing they can do except not make the game. Things over there arent like they are here in the US. They dont have the freedom we have. If the Chinese government says to do this or that .. you DO THIS OR THAT. Period.
Yeah, what these people on Twitter were raging about is nothing compared to Genshin's predatory business practices.
I mean, they might have made Xinyan a bit lighter tone, but she’s still darker skinned than all the other characters aside from Kaeya. My biggest problem with Xinyan is that she’s supposed to be a rock n roll/metal head, but she sounds like a freaking country gal. Like what is that? Whatever.
When it comes to the whole “Flora” thing, there are 3 different model types in the game. Small body, medium body and tall body. Oh wait, 4 because thicc body too. It’s lazy. But there are multiple “adult” or “grown” characters that look like little kids. To me it’s lazy character creation, especially for NPCs. But you have to consider that a company in China has a different cultural perspective than our North American based race and culture war issues. Not all topics like this are as racially charged and what not as they are in The US/North America. And if they are it would probably be from a different perspective than what people are always jumping on here in North America. People need to not think inside their own bubbles so much. The thing that would bug me the most out of all of these is modeling the Hilichurl dances after Native American dances. Native American dances are a sacred part of their culture. But at the same time, it’s a cartoon game and I get that they wanted to make these tribal characters… more tribal. Probably just wasn’t done in the most PC way. But I still don’t like it. But I do love the hilichurls still. They’re cute characters.
Also, Rick should probably not comment on foreign affairs if he doesn’t know exactly what the hell he’s talking about. Mainstream foreign knowledge is manufactured by shitty mainstream media conglomerates who are perpetuating a cold war with China and Russia anyway. Stupid.
I’ll file this under “meh”.
