Genshin Impact PS5 Review – The Final Verdict

Genshin Impact is gorgeous, it’s got shockingly high production values, the combat and exploration gameplay loop is extremely entertaining, and it’s systemically very dense as well. If you’ve never played Genshin Impact before, you should check it out – it’s free, after all, and it’s really good. But I would heavily encourage you to forego the PS4 version and check it on the PS5 to the extent possible (assuming you’re not trying one of the other versions, of course).

If you have already played this breakout hit before, you’ll be pleased to know that on PS5, in spite of some missed opportunities to address a lot of the game’s issues or to improve on it in several meaningful ways, the improvements that are brought to the table are just enough to make this the definitive way to play this game on console.

  1. Game was good for a bit but got repetitive and constrictive too quick. The bloated menus and grind just became a turn off. I would prefer it if it was full priced and less repetitive should they do a sequel . That being said the character selection was great and I never spent to get them, but again, would prefer full price and unlock them as you go. I got very lucky some of mine.

  2. I haven't played this game since January due to lack of content. May pick it back up but would like for there to be an ending already.

  3. Coming from someone who plays this game a lot, this review is shameful. The game is super focused on the four character elemental reaction combat system. You didn’t mention that at all.

  4. You think breath of the wild had cluttered inventory system? Witcher 3 had so much bs that annoyed the hell out of me. Breath of the wild is the best video game I have ever played. And I very rarely play Nintendo games or enjoy them. Add splatoon to that list.

  5. BoTW didn't invent the 3D open-world genre nor it invented the cell-shading artstyle.

Also the game can be played without you spending anything. Checkout Enviosity's channel if you need proof.

I've payed for only 6 welkins totalling $30 since October last year and I have atleast 14 5* characters not including the traveler.
