Welcome back to another Ghost of Tsushima video. As I slowly progress through the main story again I decided I’ll record some highlights from the missions I play. I always love playing this game & I can’t wait to continue with the story again. Let me know if you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😀

  1. Boy was I wrong about ghost of tsushima, I have a massive affinity for martial arts games and I was incredibly excited when I saw previews for ghost however terribly disappointed when I saw some of the gameplay footage because I felt like the enemy AI was too "Kung Fu movie" and not grounded in enough realism

The way enemies seemingly surrounded Jin and then took their time attacking in turn just smacked of the old kung fu movie trope and seem to abandon the expedient of reality I was so looking forward to in this title

I was wary so I didn't buy it on the release and continued to watch gameplay footage trying my best to avoid spoilers

I went ahead and snatched up sekiro used hoping for a Tenchu like experience but I was terribly terribly disappointed so I went right back to GameStop and dropped the coin for a brand new copy of ghost of tsushima trying to erase my disappointment in sekiro

In about 15 minutes after starting my first playthrough I realized my mistake… although the game certainly played more like a kung fu movie than a real fight scenario it was still incredibly immersive and had some of the best control, animation, logistics and story in console history!!!

While the game was far too easy if you fell back and relied on Range weapons to thin The Herd you can have an incredible challenge by walking into a fight on lethal in a poor armor set up

I consider this a near perfect game with only a couple things I would change

1-let jin pick up enemy weapons for use and sale

2-allow the horse to course to a point while you concentrate on using your bow or spear from mount

3- more military objectives and less interpersonal drama

4- a slightly better camera view option especially the ability to turn off autocorrect aka auto center

5- addition of a cardio gauge so you can't just run away from your opponents who should follow you more aggressively and pepper you with range weapons like accurate arrows especially if you turn your back and run

6- adopt a Gears of War style dash /cover system that doubles as a "glance function" and give Jim a ninja costume and the ability to go prone and or hide in infrastructure

7- most of all add a grapple to your combat repertoire

one of the most reliable practices and well understood tactics in ancient Asian medieval combat was to throw your opponent to the ground and use a short knife in the chinks of his armor or simply hold him down for your compatriots to finish off… in fact Judo is literally based on Samurai combat tactics of the pre gunpowder days so any Judo throw would be an important addition to your attack repertoire and function as an all-important realistic block break rather than having to resort to stylized attacks with your sword that are now magically unblockable for whatever reason

I would also like to add more climbing challenges like Breakaway grips, wall jumping and wall running, the requirement to actually grip a ledge while in midair instead of velcro stick automatically and a couple minor infrastructure improvements like being able to name your saves and the ability to quickly and easily skip cutscenes

I misjudged the game by glancing at a few initial gameplay videos and now I wish I would have bought it earlier… ghost of tsushima is an epic Masterpiece that hopefully set a new bar in gaming especially in the martial arts genre that is been so painfully neglected and perverted over the years

  2. Fun fact: in ng+ there is a legendary charm you can get from baku the silent merchant
Its soo cool that enables you to kill 4 enemies in ghost stance
And if you get hit the guage wont reset instead u only lose one kill
It become essential if you play ng+ and lethal+
Bc that mode is as bad as gmgow ng+ in god of war 2018🤣
