Apex Legends’ Ascension Season has kicked it up a notch with its stellar cinematics, and the comics are already keeping pace with the new Family Portrait Quest!
Requiem for a Smiley Face sees Lifeline, Octane, Gibraltar and Pathfinder on the hunt for an ancient battery, in order to restore a mysterious MRVN unit hidden within Olympus’ Hammond Labs – and along the way, Lifeline’s finest dress, Octane’s narration skills, Gibraltar’s SARAS Heirloom, and the true identity of Darion all get revealed!

I'm excited to follow these legends this season! Octane and Lifeline seem like another great duo and trowing Gibby in there is also apreciated. Olympus seems like a rich place and I can't wait to find out what connections the legends have to this place. Duardo seems like he could definitly be a familymember of Octane, since Darion is of Lifeline.
Octane seems great fun as a narator, I wouldn't mind having him the whole way through.
Hopefully we'll see some Horizon in this seasons story too!
Excited to see more Lifeline lore, and to see Octane without goggles. Exciting, maybe we get a full face reveal later in the story!

I really like this direction they’re going with the story, it’s nice that they are using the quests to flesh out older characters, in the last two quests it’s mostly focused on the newest character so it’s a nice change of pace.
But I do think it’s a weird choice to have octane break the 4th wall usually that’s reserved for mirage. But hopefully by the end of the comics we should have the battery for the mrvn and something will happen in game.
My fingers are crossed.
