Welcome to my lore series for Vampire: The Masquerade! More specifically, a lore series to help inform others on the upcoming and long awaited sequel: Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2! Today’s lore topic is that of the Giovanni clan and the overall origin to modern day Giovanni and their structure. The Giovanni are a mafioso type clan who take on controversial and questionable practices that can be considered unusual for a usually normal looking clan.

  4. Oh the good old undead walking Italian stereotypes😅

    Venician mafiosos only an American company could have given birth to such a thing…

    They could have named them the Beati Paoli (the Blessed Pauls or the Blessed People of Paul) the legendary and mysterious sect from which according to the old tales all mafias have descended from but to do that they would have had to actually make some research…

    PS: also the fact that they changed from Giovani to Giovanni to better blend in makes no sense as even if the older Italian surnames were patronymics (for example the son of a man named Fino would be called Fini as in Filius Fini, son of Fino) no one has Giovanni as a surname as that's already a first name and it would be confusing, Giovani (young ones), on the other hand, made much more sense as a family name as it perfectly follows Italian onomastic traditions and it is a irl surname
