  1. Hey HGG! So sad you couldn't make it to the TMT Challenge :/ I hope it is okay if I post the score sheet under this Video, since I mentioned you in it and I want you to be able to read it aswell becaus'e I want to thank you and wish you a happy new year 🙂 If it is not you are allowed to delete my comment and I just write this first part again ^^

    What's going on guys? It is me for the Final Taskmaster Tuesday before the end of 2020 and for the last time from my Hometown in Bochum Germany from the Internation Broadcasting Studio! 😀
    First of all so sad to see that HGG could not compete today, really hoped to see the band back together before the end of the Year. Best of wishes to HGG, get well soon and come back stronger next year alright? Good 🙂

    So this weeks task was to build a ship as unbalanced as possible. No not Wargaming style unbalanced more of the unbalanced offset side xD So the ship has to have either a Fore or Aft weight offset of atleast 15%. Every percent over gives you 1 extra point. If you chose to take also a starboard or port weight offset you'll also get the entire offset as a bonus on top ( for example: Aft Offset of 20% would be +5 Points and a Port Offset of 30% would be +30 extra points. That would mean you start off with 35 extra Points ). You will build 2 BCs and if you lose one 10 points are deducted from your final score. You get extra points for sinking the enemies BBs ( 2 x 15 Points ) BCs ( 2x 10 Points ) and CA ( 4 x 5 Points ) for a total of 70 further points. Contestant with most points wins and in case of a tie the tiebreaker will be fastest time to sink all enemies.

    So do you wanna know what everyone scored? Yes?! Ok here it goes!

    Stealth:

    Aft Offset = 85.7% —-> 86% = 71 Points

    Port Offset = 100% = 100 Points

    Combined = 170 Points

    + 2 BC ( 2x10P ), 2 CA ( 2x5P ) at 4:50:00 (called it off)

    Total: 200 Points

    EDG:

    Aft Offset = 24.5% —-> 24% = 9 Points

    Starboard Offset = 4.7% —-> 5% = 5 Points

    Combined = 14 Points

    + 70 Points all enemies sunk at 9:12:41

    Total: 84 Points

    Brother:

    Aft Offset = 15.9% —-> 16% = 1 Point

    Starboard Offset = 100% = 100 Points

    Combined = 101 Points

    + 70 Points all enemies sunk at 8:58:09

    Total: 171 Points

    Spartan:

    Fore Offset = 25.2% —-> 25% = 10 Points

    Port Offset = 100% = 100 Points

    Combined = 110 Points

    + 70 Points all enemies sunk at 8:08:53

    Total: 180 Points

    Before we get to the last Final Ranking of the year I would like to say thank you for everyone who enjoyes and supports Taskmaster Tuesday ( I certainly do ) and everyone who liked my comments with the score sheet. Really gave me motivation to do it every week since I started it and not to forget thanks to Stealth, EDG, HGG, BrotherMunro and Spartan for giving their feedback aswell and pointing out if I made mistake. If you want me to continue in 2021 let me know. I would be glad to do so and of course free of charge 😛 ( sorry had to bring that joke xD )

    Also this part is espacially for EDG for this weeks episode: You reaction was priceless when you noticed your ship beeing hit 30 seconds into battle and flash fire immediately popping of one of your turrets. Good thing it remained at one only or else who would have known what happened :X xD

    So how are we going to end the Year? Here is how:
    4. Everyday's Different Gaming
    3. BrotherMunro
    2. Spartan Elite43

    And this weeks winner, by basically sailing out of port with those huge offsets and sinking a few enemies, claiming back he Throne and entering the NEW Year as the NEW TASKMASTER TUESDAY CHAMPION: The Man they call: STEALTH 17 GAMING! CONGRATULATIONS! May Fortuna be with you in the new Year and let's see if can tie your record of 3 weeks in a row 😀

    Again I wish ALL of you a happy and save new Year 2021. Looking forward to see you all soon again and …. yeah… that's all for today folks! Have a good night everyone and thank you for reading! 😀

  2. Good stream, HGG hope you feel much better.
    The AI , and those wasteful melee cost it, I agree the Devs need to correct this.
    In addition the AI still starts out well but negates it's superior strength by attacking piecemeal… You then are able to flank and the AI loses cohesion.

    Question, you do not use the commander options hold etc , is there a reason?
    . Also, I am in Europe , it's nice you think of us, unfortunately for me I watch the next day when I have the time.
    Looks like you will crush the CSA soon.

  3. HGG IIRC you are helping/doing the manual for this game? What this game desperately needs is a proper manual, even though I understand the game and manual would be a work in progress. The current itineration of a manual is woefully in adequate in explaining some of the finer points of the game. Keep up the good work.

  4. I definitely think the charging is kind of broken, at least in that it basically never seems to work out well. From what I've seen, I think it seems like part of the issue is that charging units lose cohesion pretty quick even before they actually get into melee. While that's probably pretty realistic, especially for poorly trained inexperienced men, I'm pretty sure higher cohesion boosts morale which give the defender a big advantage against charging units unless they were already right on the verge of routing. I believe loss of cohesion also impacts the melee stats of units, and melee ability seems to show as bad whenever a unit has low cohesion. I think the combined effect of the morale hit from reduced cohesion and the reduction in melee effectiveness leads to charges almost always failing.

    On the topic of things that would be cool in the game, it would be cool to have more ability to use naval units in combination with land units. I may not be doing something right, but I've tried a couple times to position a fleet to bombard a fort while also attacking with an army and the army got pretty much wrecked even with a 5:1 numerical advantage, while the fleet seemed to be having some success bombarding the fort. The naval aspect of the Civil War is unfortunately pretty unknown by most people other than the blockade and some aspects like the river forces in the West working alongside Grant. I just finished reading a book about Alonzo Cushing's brother Will Cushing and his Civil War exploits in Virginia and North Carolina. The author gave a very interesting lecture on the topic at the Naval Academy in 2015 that's on the USNA Museum's YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zw–8mE15lo
