GTA V – Siren changes after Los Santos Summer Special? (Read description)

Anyone else noticed how player-controlled vehicle’s sirens do not echo in the city/in tunnels anymore. NPC-driven vehicles’ sirens echo as normal, but the echo state seems to have been disabled on driven vehicles. Behavioral changes to how you activate the three different siren tones also seem to have been made…

Is this preparation for the December DLC?

  1. Well that's interesting.. wonder why they changed that. also is the chirp siren on the ambulance different from the chirp siren on police vehicles/fire engines? I swear it sounds a bit different.

  5. What if Los Santos Summer Special was originally supposed to be a "Cops 'n' Crooks" type DLC and, like Yannerrins said, it's just a leftover from it?

  6. I noticed this change while driving a fire truck, and the siren actually sounds like it's coming from the front of the vehicles as well. Also, R* kinda un blacklisted the police uniform, so these could all be hints for the dlc coming in Dec. Potentially cops n crooks.
