Halo Infinite Cancelled On The Xbox One?

The question around Xbox One and Series X cross gen games have been coming up more and more as we are seeing examples of games running poorly on the older hardware like Cyberpunk 2077 and now it looks like Halo Infinite could be moving away from last gen hardware based on a listing on Linkedin from a developer at 343.

  1. Good, I always believed that if a game has to be held back to be compatible with an older console, then support should be dropped. Iโ€™m investing in a next-gen game, to get a next-gen experience.

  2. There are the examples of "next gen" games like Cyberpunk trying to downscale their game to run on previous gen hardware and failing horribly. There are also games like the new Doom that have ported their game to systems like the switch (essentially smartphone levels of performance) and run great. Depends on the engine. H5 runs at 60 fps on Xbox One… I have a hard time believing that Halo infinite will have any issues on previous gen hardware.

  3. Soooo, this whole time 343 studios, also knew that this ugly outdated xbox 360 game, could never play on an xbox one even though the graphics and everything about the game is extremely outdated. They saw how poorly managed cyberpunk 2077 was and knew if they tried that bullshit with sony, they would have their game removed to and loves 10's of millions of dollars. In other words Halo is such a poorly optimized game and generic that microsoft is trashing the xbox one game and the only playable version will be the pc port, while the knew xbox can't even handle halo and again will run at 30 fps, on a next gen console… Microsoft, the only gaming console that doesn't make games. they copy and paste fifa, basketball, hockey, and have all the same games that sony has, but inferior versions, while sony, continues to innovate, bring in new ip's new AAA games, exclusive titles which is wat all gamers want in this industry. Why the fuck doesn't xbox fucking listen!!!!! we want games!!! give us AAA fucking games!!!! for the luv of god!!!! why the fuck do u always make shit halo, gears and racing??? make more AAA games u assholes!!!!

  4. Just make an S/X exclusive. There seems to be more enthusiasm for this generation of Xbox then there was for the last gen. Infinite looks the most interesting Halo has looked in a long time. Itโ€™s just the graphics polish that seems to be holding it back.

  5. As a PlayStation gamer, I'm actually glad that this is happening, that Halo: Infinite is going to be next-gen only.
As the last standalone Halo game for at least the next ten years, they should develop this game to its fullest potential.

Halo fans have always been loyal to this series and have the right to experience the game in its most powerful state.
Good luck you Xbox bros out there.

  6. Microsoft should've never made the Xbox one s all digital. It was a complete waste. Why continue to support a mostly 900p machine. The should've did a digital Xbox one x if anything. And IF they were smart they would've just did an all digital series x if they had common sense. 399 for a premium console would've made way more sense than no disc drive, way less power, and half the ssd for 299. Those things are worth the extra 100 for a digital. Especially when the expansion drive is $200. It just makes more work for devs. Makes more sense for them to focus on optimizing

  7. I still think the one x should get halo infinite. The cpu holds the system back but itโ€™s more than capable of handling halo infinite I believe. Halo isnโ€™t going to be this graphically impressive game because of the art style. We have reached a peak in visual fidelity.

  8. You Will notice that whenever a next gen game is released on last gen it tends to fail.
    Cod Ghosts.

    Cyberpunk2077.

The same will happen with infinite too if they don't cancel last gen.
