  1. I will say that finding 4v4 and 8v8 is very easy to find games. Though anything outside that it becomes difficult. Seeing MCC up so high on the list is VERY promising for Halo Infinite!

  2. Apparently having relays on used to effect it and hardly found lobbies maybe its still bugged turning it off might help. Its in network settings.
Also try increasing your server regions and turn cross play on

  3. I'll be honest, there's really two primary things holding me back from investing much of my time into the MCC.

    1. A comfortable control setup (on controller) that closely mimics Halo 5's default controls and in-turn the general control setting that's found for many typical FPS titles nowadays. I really struggle finding any comfort with the restrictive control setups of Halo's good-old-days. I know I'm not the only one and I keep providing this feedback to 343i, but it continues to go unaddressed.

    2. The refusal to incorporate TrueSkill v2 + TrueMatch. The benefits to the matchmaker are numerous and in-turn it would vastly improve the experience for the bulk of the player-base which tends to overwhelmingly be made-up of casual players.

I think the refusal to address these two things ultimately boils down to a stubborn desire to maintain a form of classic purity in a foolish manner.

  4. Unfortunately Halo wont get the attention because of Warzone and Fortnite. Most fps kids play those games or CS go. Halo doesnt have that pull anymore. F2P might change it a bit though

  5. One thing to note, ranked is broken due to such a low population count which is quite a shame. I would constantly get matched with people who are way out of my league and stand no chance against them.

  6. Simple; you already said it: it's old. I LOVE Halo so much. It means a lot to me and I STILL constantly play it. But I'm not blind to the fact that all of the Halo games we have fond memories over are outdated especially compared to current FPS standards. It's incredibly slow, most of your shots feel like they don't make any sense at all sometimes, etc. etc. It's a nostalgia bank and if MCC wants numbers of concurrent players up, it needs to have mod support and/or (this sounds like a no-duh statement) new additions that still feel like it keeps the integrity of Halo but modern as well

  7. That's just the Steam effect. Is very common to Steam users to buy recognizeble games in bulk during Sales so that they can try them later, only to never touch them again, or even install them at all.

  8. Getting back into the games has been a blast, and I've now got tons of hours racked up… but its also shown me how sweaty, punishing and un-fun the multiplayer community can be. And I want to have fun with this.

So I played a little bit in the various modes to grab some achievements and then otherwise enjoy booting up the game every few days to try for campaign achievements. I know at least in my case, I'll be playing through those campaigns for dozens more hours at minimum and having a blast, but never entering matchmaking.
