Brutal start for the Boyz. Maybe it was a mercy play, but when you killed that first boat in melee, the unit inside auto dies due to there being no where they could deploy within 3" of the transport and outside if engagement range. And the models inside the transport have to be placed before the transport is removed, so they cannot be placed in the space that the transport once occupied. Hope this is helpful, if you already knew, sorry for being long winded

1:02:29 I could be wrong but the Bad Moons rerolls of 1 only happen in the shooting phase. So they dont reroll overwatch. ( one of the many reasons Orks need a new codex) Took a look at the FAQ and my Codex and it seems to still be the case.
