Heisenberg is the Real Star of the Show in Resident Evil Village

The one character that drives the game’s knack for surpassing expectations and surprising players with its ideas is Karl Heisenberg, who is not only the most fascinating character in the entire game, but might even be one of the best villains.

  1. Heisenberg represents Frankenstein's Monster with Miranda playing role of creator.

His name is significant in it's relation to the Heisenberg Principle, where perception creates reality. Somebody else can explain that much better than I.

Also his boss fight is downright spectacular. It's out of place, doesn't fit the tone and is utterly insane, but holy god it was fun and then getting picked up 30 stories and shooting a cannon in mid air before crashing back down to the ground was truly a "Resident Evil villain takedown" moment.

  2. Ethan should have teamed with him, he wasn't really evil, Ethan was kind of a stubborn jerk in this game. Sure after getting rid of Miranda they perhaps would have fought…. maybe not.

  3. Im not sure he's dead. His death is the most vague but then again it is said in Miranda's files that Heisenberg has a relatively normal human body. Would be cool if he survived but horribly deformed by metal debris all over his body. They can make him an anti-hero or a 3rd party in future instalments.

  4. Lady D and Heisenberg could've had their own games, they're so good, almost a waste. I can't tell if they didn't give us enough or if I'm just begging for more because it's so good. Maybe a little of column A and a little from column B.

  6. Karl is what every RE boss is: full of machinations. I think that’s what makes him compelling. The others give chase and try to destroy you, but Karl is a plotter. I found the enemies in his factory the most terrifying, but it did become routine. I really enjoyed his area because it was creepy af. I’d say Beneviento’s chittering dolls were creepy too. Still have nightmares.

  7. Better story writing is if you intially team up with Heisenberg to fight Miranda where she turns megapowerful with the help of the megamycte. It takes three stages to take her down. And then you fight over Rose with Heisenberg.
Miranda comes back abit later though really weak after the defeat with the previous fight. But you're also serverly weakens with the fight with Heisenberg and you basically have to survive long enough for Chris to come in with the back up to defeat Miranda once again and you take Rose and sacrfice yourself to destroy the megamycte.

  8. I'm sorry but I straight up hated him. He wanted to be Nicholas Cage so bad and fit in the least with the rest of the characters. He felt like he didn't belong in this story in regards to the other Lords. While they were all reminiscent of folk tales he just comes in as an electric mutant? And his level, while it represented the 'action packed' part of the game where you finally feel you can go toe-to-toe with anything the game throws at you, actually paled in comparison to the rest of the 'final areas' in previous Resident Evil games, as these areas usually feature stronger enemies that help explain the plot (usually suped up infected, explaining the extent of the current infection and just how much damage could be caused if it all got loose). Instead we're faced with difficult enemies that we don't see anywhere else that have no impact on the final part of the story. This could have easily been remedied by having us face some of his metal warriors during Chris' segment of the game, and explained by Miranda taking control of them. At least then it wouldn't feel so shoehorned in.
