The Xbox Series S was announced as a cheaper alternative to the Series X with a 300 dollar price tag. A lot of time a cheaper price tag means cheaper parts and build quality, however it looks like Microsoft continues to impress with their engineering coming up with a well build system in the Series S for the money.

  1. I bought the PS5 and the Series S this season. My son and I spent the vast majority of the weekend playing the Series S. It's a great system when combined with the game pass. I also particularly like the Xbox app. I'm sure the PS5 will become better over time, but Microsoft seems to be in a pretty strong position currently.

  2. Difficult to get? Most stores still had it for like days after. This system isn’t bad by no means. But why would I get a less powerful console. I’d rather just save up and get the bang for my buck

  3. I still don’t know why anyone would want one ? For $200 more you get a much more powerful fully next gen system plus 500 more gig of space that also plays disc. What will you do when you run out of space in the s? It probably only have around 350 gig to start with. With the Xbox payment plan there is literally NO reason to get the S. With games being more and more complex soon the s wouldn’t be able to handle them.

  4. Do not buy series x I can play like half the games I’ve payed for I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve had to redownload games or just restart the damn system itself sometimes it only works when I pull the damn power cable out the back

  5. Managed to see these in stock for a good bit but just couldnt get myself to buy it. It just feels wrong paying for something that I cant use to play physical games I may get as gifts or any of my current physical games.

  6. I really liked your analysis. Congratulations! Suggestion: try to improve your thumbnails! You always seem to be tired or bored, which is in contrast with your presentation, which is very dinamic and informative! It's kind of a visual identity problem. Subtle, but the change can impact positively on your channel! Wish you success!

  7. If the thing had a disk drive I’d buy one in second. The kids have a well loved One S but the drive is failing on it. If I could replace it with this it would be great but I have to many disk games for XBox one to consider digital

  8. I just bought a brand new Tropicol 6 disc for £15 online why on earth would I buy a Xbox without a disc drive and pay £50 for a download…..Xbox series X will be cheaper in the long run, All my games are disc all bought cheaper then a digital download except for dlc which I had no choice on.

  9. Stop misleading your followers is a horrible deal and a fake next-gen console with some games dipping to 720p in scenes.. You are better off holding on to your xbox one until you can afford the series x.

  10. That’s what I’ve been saying for awhile because it’s impossible to beat the $299 value and again less memory? No problem play 2-3 games at a time but people are paying double for the higher tier console plus extended memory that amount to almost a whopping $750+ including tax why pay more than double which the series S can do everything with the exception of higher resolution? Who cares consoles were never about that but all about being affordable and playing all the games

  11. I got the series s and it's honestly served as a constant reminder that resolution does not define a console. I mean , yes, resolution does matter but other features sort of overshadow my focus on resolution and puts it on the back burner. I simply adore the ssd, quick resume and snappy performance which smooths out everything even navigating the system and Microsoft store. I just replaced the one x with series s and boy was the xbox one x slow and laggy. Despite of the native 4k output I will never return to last gen, I prefer 1080p 60 fps any day over 4k with 30 fps. This little beast is outputting many games at 120fps already right up there with series x for only 299 gamestop won't be seeing me much anymore , gamepass and this little white box has stolen my attention.

  12. Have one of these and was lucky enough to also score a PS5. My girl and I play coop games on the S while I use the PS5 for solo gaming. The S is a great little machine.
