  1. I use to play Skyrim on my Xbox 360, my Xbox was very old but it managed to work for years before and after my mom bought it for me when I was little, a few days ago when I tried to turn it on it wouldn’t turn on, I remember my mom told me this day would come where it would eventually break down and shut off forever, I keep it in my room as a memory

  2. My favorite Daedric prince, he reminds me of the elder God from the game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. I would love to see and elder scrolls game revolve around he and his followers. Giving you, the character, the option to become his champion or work against his plotand eventually work towards defeating him

  3. My theory is that Hermaeus Mora knows everything as long as it is written down. The Skal passed there secrets my mouth only so he didn't know. This could also move into the realm of knowing the future. He knows what historians in the future will write but that is a very narrow view of events so things may be different when they truly happen.

  4. Im from Buffalo in the United States. The “buffalo wings” are chicken wings cooked in our buffalo style, typically with hot or spicy “buffalo sauce” which originated at the Anchor Bar- which isnt as good these days as they used to be.

  5. On 49:30 : I feel like that's exactly why you can't be killed. Everything in this particular realm of knowledge is information. You can't destroy information– it will always be there, and your soul is a copy of said data. If you're defeated /destroyed, you can possibly lose just about everything you had gained since entering the book but the base knowledge that you gained about it will be there when you return.

At least that's my lore headcannon response to why you don't die specifically in apocrypha.

  6. I’m way too sober to listen to this, ima come back after a drink or two 😂😂also I think a build centered around him, CHIM, and a whole bunch of other metaphysical whacky concepts would be really cool

  7. I wonder if his ties to "fate" are just a consequence of his hunger for information. The more he knows, the more he can extrapolate the future. Sort of the idea that if you knew the position and direction of every particle in the universe you could extrapolate into the past and the future.

  8. Another theory as to why hermamora seeks knowledge is because, well as well know he is the leftover ideas of creation. Maybe he feels incomplete, like it's a subconscious instinct of his to learn and complete himself in a way. I'm not sure of there's any hints to this or not, it's more of a thought experiment really.

  9. Just to add my little grain of salt – around 21 minutes in, Scott starts talking nihilism, and two minutes later, Michael talks about a "chill nihilism", and says it's mostly based on ego.
Well I do believe you guys talk (maybe unknowingly) about nihilism as theorized by Nietsche: to badly sum it up, the fact that there is no real meaning to life is not depressing. On the contrary, the lack of a superior absolute entity frees the self from its limitations (if there is nothing above you, then nothing can stop you from proceeding upwards). Then comes on stage Nietsche's Übermensch, the super-human, with unlimited potential.
So one might argue that Chim actually is inspired by nietschean nihilism… 😉
    Cheers, guys!

  10. I know many people believe that Mora claims the last Dragonborn and he becomes his champion, but my head cannon will always be that Akatosh has final claim on the Dragonborn’s soul. Since the Dragonborn’s soul is essentially a part of Akatosh, it makes sense that he would have first dibs whenever the Dragonborn dies. I have a feeling that Bethesda will keep it open ended and will just do a “Last seen on Solstheim” kinda thing

  11. Good podcast. I think we would hear of the dragonborn going back to High Hrothgar and either teaching the way of the voice or ending up like Jurgen Windcaller. If we want to talk about the tower theory in this, I don't believe the Snow Tower was destroyed. We may hear of the Dragonborn protecting the Throat of the World from the Thalmor after the civil war only when he passes of old age do the Thalmor then ascend the mountain or ruin it in order to further their plot. Good idea for a mod after the events of Dragonborn.
