I love how you're explaining your build process and talking about why it sounds like a good idea! I agree that it will be! No matter how far you get on it, by season end it will look Complete, I'm sure, and tbh making sure everything has some sort of function (even if that function is aesthetic!) as you build it is going to make the whole thing so much more interesting to build, live in, and view than a big empty shell. And I love the walkability idea! I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorite megabases of the season.
It is gonna be awesome watching the hermits build castles this season. This is what I always want to do with mine but move on quickly if I don't like something. Great work Jevin!

That's more or less how I build. I start small and only expand when I need the space and make sure stuff is functional

there is also a mod, that "transfers" an outline of, per example, a build you made in creative mode onto another server.
Xisuma builds his base using it too, and it seems very helpfull and effective, as you are basically "tracing" an outline, insteadof copying it.

Has anyone ever thought about this? Build a house, but ur walls r ONLY made of Nether Portals 😉 Think about it, imagine a castle with obsidian frames and then the wall "paint" is animated Nether portal effects 😀 Then obviously mix in some purple glass and fitting blocks (preferably blackstone) and BOOM! BRAND NEW concept 😀 ive tried this in my world but im sure more creative people could make this idea come to life WAAAAY better than i could ever imagine 🙂 Remember, u heard it here 1st

The trash bin is Pearl’s, to sell all kinds of miscellaneous stuff, and the adventure cave that was behind Gem & Stress’ prismarine shop is Cub’s – just for fun. Cub’s real shop is Greens, which has all kinds of stuff for sale.
Ren’s shop does sell items in chests around the pumpkin towers. The redstone component shop is Scar’s.

Pearl’s dumpster shop (not BDubs’) has a huge bird which is an Australian Ibis, fondly referred to as a bin (trash can) chicken 😁

For the mountain towers, what if you did something along the lines of a wizard's enclave or college?
with the elves, dwarfs, arcane builds and now a castle I seriously think this season is gonna be GoT of LotRs based
with Beef's TCG being used for battles
