Hey Boom , listening on catch-up right now . As you know , I'm enjoying my Series S . I feel the 'memory issue' on the Xbox side , is only a problem if you let it . It's easy to leave my favourite 5 to 7 games on internal and be able to play back-compat off my 1tb external .

Magg is 100% right as usual. I'm sorry but Sony lost me with their cloak and dagger approach to the PS5. I'm a relatively older gamer and I really appreciate MS' open and honest attitude. I hated the way Sony said virtually nothing about their hardware before the console came out, it made me feel like they didn't have confidence in their own product, and I'm not spending my money on something I know nothing about. The lack of SSD expansion is making me feel they rushed the development of PS5 and they knew it. I knew exactly what I was getting with Series X and I'm happy with it for the most part. I'll drag the life out of my PS4 Pro until Sony release a PS5 Pro.
Xbox Gamepass is not going to Nintendo they have no reason to want or need it as they intend to keep Nintendo gamers within their ecosystem, and the same goes for Sony. The Switch is something Phil just likes, but I wouldn't read to much into it.
Replace the word Playstation with Xbox and the gaming community would have exploded by now.
At least you have the option on the Xbox. Xbox storage solution may be “expensive “ but that’s how much NVME storage IS. SSDs were almost $1,000 for the first 3 or 5 yrs for 500 GB. Now its cheap you can get a TB for under $200. NVME at $200 for this new type of storage is actually reasonable and by the end of this year there will be sales and you’ll be able to get it for $50. My only question would be I doubt the speed difference between regular SSD and NVME is worth the cost difference…

@ Boom. You got to get Kirbylouise on, in november he explained into great detail (@ RTX) that the PS5 had issues with its SOC based on the reported issues right after launch, and also spoke about the exact same solution the Bloomberg article spoke of. PS customers are suffering due to their own negligence by looking away for years of Sony lowering their standards and clear lies.
MS is working on the space issue, Spencer not that long ago spoke about them working on better compression technics and about partial game installments. Where Xbox users for example could choose not have to install the multiplayer part of a game, and thus safe space. Which already is implemented with some games.
I saw that gamer Nexus video on the PlayStation and the Xbox and it only confirms which console I'm buying when it's available. And don't be surprised if that Seagate memory card gets a cut in price. Probably around the holiday though.
I agree with a lot of points from the panel but a lot of it is what I would say are “first world problems”. Sony needs to solve this but at the same time, how many people are adopting the hardware storage solution from Xbox (it’s too pricey for its convenience value). Data caps are an issue for some people but those people should not be adopting digital consoles at all, gamepass or ps plus/now, as it’s going to be an issue. You’re not going to be able to get the benefits from those services. For those people the disc based console exists. For people with unlimited data caps, this boils down into a convenience issue. Waiting to redownload or waiting to transfer from external to internal. I do agree that the ASAP solution that Sony needs to adopt is add storing ps5 games on external storage with the ability to transfer back and forth, like Xbox. For now there aren’t that many ps5 only games to make this an issue (you can play PS4 games off an external), but they need to solve this quick before more exclusives drop.

Someone said sony doesn't listen to youtube, yet back when Microsoft revealed XBSX and in weeks following MS stated XBSX features RayTracing, and sony nerds cried over ps5 rumored to have FAKE raytracing ala software.. not hardware like new XBSX. Sony responded touting raytracing hardware. When THE ENTIRE INTERNET WAS SET ABLAZE OVER WITNESSING HELL BLADE 2, sony responded not on their own, but ran to get outside help from EPIC gaming to put together ANYTHING that looks like a game and credit ps5. There's tons of things said and talked about on the internet that sony responds to with there.. BULL CRAP!!!
THE REASON SONY IS IGNORING THE SSD ON PS5, IS BECAUSE SONY SAW AND HEARD YOU FRIGGING CRYING BABIES WHINE ABOUT THE REALITY PRICE OF EXPANDING XBSX AND S HARD DRIVE…. SONY IS MAKING MOVES, LETTING AS MANY PS5 SALES KEEP HAPPENING BETWEEN NOVEMBER LAUNCH AND SUMMER 2021 THATS 7 OR 8 MONTHS OF PS5 SALES.. AND THEN… BAM!!! Kojima is a tough one for MS and thats mostly because Komima is known to have very anti-american views and has never liked Xbox as a platform (which was obvious when he intentionally gimped the MGS: Zeros game on the X1). I don't see them buying Kojima because of that.
Personally, I don't feel PS5 this gen. Look at what they did to Sony Japan, Instead of making anime games, they're focusing on western games which shall kill Sony Rapidly and don't be surprised if Microsoft wants relationship with Sony Japan because they're in need of animes. Sony MUST stop making western games and go back to their roots which is anime
