  1. I can take or leave this new feature personally. I might be more drawn to it after playing the game however I'm not really bothered by it's introduction, persistent shortcuts aren't something I've ever thought about or something I ever thought I'd need. Still, It's good that they're adding new features, it's really shaping up to be a great game imo.

I noticed in the Game Informer video that the pistol seems to have a new sound effect which I really like

  2. I am mostly all in for this new feature. I am a exploration guy in games like HITMAN. Every nook and cranny will go discovered in my first playtrough every time. I think with these new shortcuts, it will help new players who are new to HITMAN 3, be able to escape easily without the hassle of being seen. They might be scared to caught and all that. I love that IOI is catering toward those players and show they care about the franchise to newbies who HITMAN 3 might be their first game. Anyways another great video Gobotch👍

If I may have a suggestion for your next video is that you do a World of Assassination timeline/summary , like the events of HITMAN 1 and 2(dlc included) combined so people know what’s going on before the events of HITMAN 3. I think that will be a fantastic video especially for people who are just jumping in into the universe

Anyways see you next time Gobotch

  3. If you play the literal first level of the new trilogy, you can find in Paris there is a pipe that goes from the rear courtyard up to the serving area of the IAGO auction.

Things like these have been used before, and they haven't made the game any worse. In fact, it can be argued that the starting location feature is the same. I have no worries about this feature because highly accessible paths to beat levels have been used before.

These unlockable shortcuts might even make the game more challenging for people who don't explore levels, which means people will try more things or explore more.

Personally, I wouldn't even mind seeing some newly added paths to some of the worse maps too, like Marrakesh or Thailand, or removing OP paths on easier levels, or even unlocking doors that made no sense to be locked every playthrough. This is a great opportunity to simplify specific paths and incentivise exploration in my opinion.

  4. This is one of those features that I don't understand people getting bent out of shape about; If you want to use it, use it, if you don't, don't. Personally, I like having the option, especially on larger maps that may take time to set-up certain challenge assassinations.
P.S. Do we know if this feature is being implemented for the prior stages from HITMAN 2016 and HITMAN 2, or is it just going to be present for the new stages of HITMAN 3?

  5. The old hitman games all had shorts cut / ways to finish the game quickly. Bank is one of best maps in the whole franchise and it has a very obvious ‘shortcut’ right at the front of the map.

  6. I don't hate the idea of persistent shortcut system. I can get why some hardcore purists would hate it, but from a sandbox building, convenience, and quality of life standpoint it's a smart idea. And with the expanse of these maps it's just more ways to get around in my book

I'm sure speedrunners will have a good time with it, for sure

  8. I've played one and two a hundred differnt ways. From just running through killing every thing to only the target complelty stealthy. This game is by far and away has the best variety of play styles. Anyone can finish, anyway they wish, and then do it in an alternate way the next and the next and the next time they wish.
I've been a HITMAN fan since the first release and will be saddened when the eventual end will be released. LONG LIVE AGENT 47!

  9. I don't feel particularly strongly about the point but if crashing down the light fixture at the Paris fashion show isn't persistent then neither should shortcuts be persistent.

  10. People complaining about the shortcut system don't have to use it. Shortcuts have always worked in the last 2 games, using a briefcase, breaching charge and muffins, you can go out of bounds, go across ledges etc. It'll just make players explore every area of the game, unlock the shortcut or don't, people play the game in so many different ways. That's the beauty of Hitman.
