As a holy pally.. 1) no group wants you and 2) trying to pug is atrocious. Sooo many people are stuck in the mide set to run in and take very thing and they die and tell at the healer. The DPS don't move out of ground aoes and yupp, you guessed it. They blame the healer. No one interrupts.
Fix the player base not the class. Blizzard has allowed the community to trash the holy pally and have done nothing to try and fix the appearance.
If you want to pug play something else.
Its so weird (but sad too) to hear you say mistweavers havent been good for so long because i see MDI tournaments from BFA and they were very well represented. I guess thats just a very high level of play perhaps?
I just wish they were good in all levels of play. I hope blizz will make it so you can pick between fistweaving and mistweaving mid combat depending on the situation.
How would you like to see mistweaver changed (if at all)?
Best way to explain how a healer works: DO MECHANICS/STRATS! Holy works incredibly when your dps are not missing interrupts, and standing in shit. Leaves you to just top up heal, and focus on contributing to dps, and thus, time keys. Holy suffers when they have to pop wings to save the 2 dps who just stood in ground acid/fire for 5 seconds straight.
My issue with shaman:
You can't really cast a move (many boss fights want you to move)
Your dispel barely gets by, but is doable.
If your like me and only have 2-5% haste, if the dps is dumb they will die, as even a 1.5 healing surge won't cast in time.
Why I still play resto shaman:
Great utility if you have the option to use it.
Great damage, first time ever on a healer I can keep up with the tank as long as I only focus damage. Probably thanks to my high crit/vers stats.
Every heal heals a large amount. Chain lightning might take 2.5 seconds, but everyone will feel it.
Oh and many buffs to your spells in talents and conduits. There's nothing better than getting a 22k healing wave off on the tank.
This guy likes to join low pug groups and borderline sabotage them or watch them fail for content, pretty cringey and desperate. Instead of praying for their failures for your bits of content why not help them learn the game and how to properly play dungeons? Oh thats right, thirsty for content rofl fucking clown.

So basically disc priest is not like all the youtubers said about them in beta? Now I'm stuck fearing I will not heal people in m+ as im supposed to.

Listening to your video, it feels like youre saying resto druid and sham are the only viable options and playing anything else is a risk. I doubt the bliz made the game in a way only 2 out of 6 healing spec could work and perform in the game
Shaman has 3 totems to CC spiteful never had an issue with them.

Nice that you played holy priest. Holy priests can easiyl heal up to +20. People like you (that belong to the leading edge) you should be more carefully talking. Most of the players 95% will never push over 20 keys. There is a lot of stigma for holy priests just because the leaders of the pack do not like them. Just remind people again and again that are capable and powerful. Also their dps is extremely good right now. Holy priests got very good buffs.
As Disc my main Oh Shit option is Big Radiance into Shadow Covenant then mend spam.
With the conduit those Radiances can get close to 3k on everyone, then Cov is a good 2k chunk. Any crits and its a nice large heal. Then with any mastery you have + the covenant bonus to all shadow, Mend heals for bigchunks. Even better if you are ToF and get a heal on someone below 35% first. That Will chunk people up and the CD to do it is fairly short.
I actually am one of the rare Kyrian priests and I mostly use Boon for the DPS. As an opener on a boss, I can use PI one someone which mirrors to me, Radiance the party then go Boon and spam both the nuke and the AOE. Pretty much very rarely will people need extra healing during that, and I can spike well over 3k dps during the duration. If its a Lusted boss sometimes we have them near dead before this is all over.
The biggest hurdle to get over as Disc is that attonement healing sucks right now. Unless you are Venthyr and can pretty much Schism into Mind Games for two huge chunky hits, you have almost no good damage to burst to make attonement matter. It is much better in raids when you can get a large number of people with Attonement and there is ZERO dropoff so its just multiplying the healing from it by 2x or more over dungeons. In Dungeons though, you need to mostly only use attonement for healing when damage is low and you can mostly spam Smite for incredible mana efficient healing. At that point though, it is basically a HOT.
Just my 2 Cents. I haven't done too high of keys yet but thought about trying to push out some runs so I have a legit IO score and actually get invited to things. 205 ilvl but 290 IO means people ignore me 🙁
My problem with this is people take these videos as the absolute truth. I'm riding this wave as a resto shaman, but when someone asked my covenant for a +9 i almost lost my shit.
Its good time of the year, then all healers looking good and its cool. We healers like friends now, and we dont separate with each other, im a rdruid, im really glad to see that rshamans feels good, all of priests, i hope all SL addon Will be balanced for healers like this! As a rdruid I run Photosynthesis and the double Lifebloom leggo, however if you play with Flourish is it really worth it? If not what legendary would you recommend instead? The swiftmend thing maybe..?
The current meta is either shaman/Druid or bust. Shaman needs another 10% nerf. They are way too powerful in both raid and m+
A lot of people play resto shaman right now because it’s easy mode. All that utility you talked about. Means everyone else can ignore having to bring that utility. They are strong but they are also super easy to play with a super low skill floor and only an average skill ceiling.
I’ve honestly been having fun with MW. Like it’s weird because I played Disc last expansion and I honestly hated Disc. I never felt like I was in control with Disc and it was constantly just stressful rotation or everyone dies.
For MW, I’m mobile, moving with the tank, spending time healing before going in and crowd controlling or adding dps. Yes, I know the fights because I main a DPS BM Hunter, but Mistweaver just feels so natural to me.
Thank you for this feedback. As a druid main i've been feeling a lil envy of the sham, they do seem perfect for the meta. I've been wondering if trying to go for more mastery than haste will make the druid heals a lil more bursty to compete with the sham.

Disc really is bad af in higher keys(+11 and above) legit having one makes the dungeon that much harder unless the disc is really good and actually knows how to play his class well
I love this… " anyone who thinks paladin needs to be buffed massively, doesn't know what their talking about"………. Places Paladin in last place. Another thing i've never understood.. my healer does a ton of damage…. ummm why? your a healer… that's the dps's job. If your pumping out damage and your people are dying.. you suck as a healer.
I have played all healers and I agree that this is a very good assessment of all the healers. I think the two healers who are hurting the most are Holy Paladin and Holy Priest right now simply because of their poor single target healing. They can no doubt push out a lot of tank healing through Beacon of Light (paladin) and Trail of Light (priest), but that's when you are healing the dps and yourself and that extra side healing gets put onto the tank as a byproduct. But when it comes to strictly single target tank healing on those accidents or large pulls or when your tank is out of personals, these two healers struggle. Conversely, Monks, Shamans, and Druids have very high single target healing: the Monk simply because that's what they've always excelled at, Druids because of how their mastery stacks up with more HoTs, and Shaman again with how their mastery works (50% more healing if your tank is at 50% health).

Honestly, I'm a brand new healer, just started when SL released. I'm maining Hpally and it's so fun! Even though a lot of my usefulness if damage mitigation, I'm still pushing out numbers very similar to our Rshaman who's got 20 ilvls on me.
MW is in a situation where yeah, they're fine, but why take them when you can take a druid or a shaman?
