After watching Cyberpunk 2077, I'm done complaining about Star Citizen. Once again, just like other titles, a little more development time would have been a good thing for this game. CDPR didn't help their reputation by rushing this out.
I have the same specs. But for now it will have to suffice until my Rx 6800 arrives.
Other videos with this card has around 45-50 fps on ultra… dont know how you have only 20-30
Very disappointing frame rates. No excuse for a 1080 not being able to run this at 60 FPS since the game was marketed to run fine on as old cards as the gt series. It should have been delayed further.

Ryzen 7 3700 and gtx 1080, I play In 2k with all settings on high, fps ranges from 45 to 60 and all extremely fluid. Just lower a bit shadows and lightning effects as for your personal taste and use those fidelity fx settings, it says amd but it works also on Nvidia. You can go for adaptive resolution or, as I did, I sat 75% res fixed which for me it's the sweet spot. In 1080p it goes pretty much all ultra for me (mostly 60fps). The fps you are showing here are extremely low for some reason.

the problem is with this game Optimization not the card it self xd imo 1080 still a strong card

Man when I saw GTX 1060 as a recommended gpu I was pumped, thought I would at least play at high 1080p 75FPS with my GTX 1080. high 75 fps my ass more like low 55
Thanks a lot for the settings! My GTX 1080 is water cooled and clocked at 2050 so FPS is just slightly higher around 35 FPS average at 1440p. Anyway I am very happy with the game. It looks amazing runs well even at 35 FPS average. I would pick this game up if you have GTX 1080 for sure!

I´m not a hardware pro or anything. But I saw benchmark videos of the GTX 1080 with the I7 7700K and the game ran on 60 FPS on medium settings. So maybe it´s also the CPU that causes problems….don´t know…
I'm getting 60fps most of the time on ultra settings but I'm using 1080p with my gtx1080. It still looks amazing.
Either something is very wrong with all this 1080 FPS reviews or something is wrong with The game.
I run the game on an RX 580 on medium and I get almost constant 43 fps.
Its Imposible my GPU outplays a 1080ti.
I can't believe it, the first time my 1070 is getting on its knees trying to play a game in years since i have it but the 1080 seems to struggle almost the same as the 1070, lmao.. this game seems real bad optimised sadly

Playing in 720p( xD )with a 960 4g in 40-50 fps, but the textures take a bit to load.

I've slightly overclocked it, and it does meet my 30 to 60 FPS demands.
I have a Ryzen 7 2700x but with lower RAM speed, only 32GB @ 2400 MHz
I'm cannot wait to see how my system performs…
But I will have to wait until January when I'm back home again.

Basically a huge percentage of pc gamers will not be able to play this right now at all. It was pointless releasing this game right now. There's only youtubers and the lucky few to have been able to buy the newer graphics cards at ridiculous prices. Under 60 fps on 1440p monitor for me is unplayable. 50fps on a hd tv would be not bad for this type of game, maybe.
The game doesnt look as next gen as i thought it would either, there are large areas of the same textures in this game. Some parts look great and other parts look unfinished or last gen.
Quick tipp: Turn DLSS with the quality preset on, it will get you at least these 30 fps on epic with a 1080 gpu.
