  1. I think the labyrinth puzzles, where you tilt a miniature version of the level you just played, feel almost like a nod to the way the theatrics of the game make it feel much bigger than it actually is. The player is like the ball rolling through this mini environment that we can see is actually made up of manipulated scale to make towers seem taller and roads seem longer. There's also the un-changeable FOV that forces you to stick your nose in everything in order to be able to see your environment.

Overall, my new favorite entry in the series.

  2. I've never seen an African village well represented in a video game before. I definitely haven't seen the giant mosque in Djenne be put into a game either. Never played that Sonic game and don't care to but I appreciate them portraying Africa positively.

  3. Being that I'm a big RE fan, and played through this game by now, I find this review very odd compared to your other ones. I don't know how to explain it accurately, but I am confusion?

  4. "runs the gamut" a wide range of experiences
"runs the gauntlet" overcomes a taxing trial
"runs the gambit" not a saying
please dont make small errors or mis-speak as humor in the videos you put out for me to watch for free, asking me nothing in return, ever again.

  5. I've beaten Village five times since it came out, and I'm currently doing a run on the Village of Shadows difficulty and still loving it. I rarely do that for games like this. My only complaint is the puzzles are lackluster compared to earlier entries, but it's got more in common with 4 than the first game so that's understandable.

  6. Damn, videos like these really make me appreciate environment in video games, especially the part about looking at the castle and later looking down on the town.

  7. resident evil has a very anime atitude of having stuff that can be considered goofy and it never actually recognizes the goofy stuff it just rolls as it was all natural that makes it one of my favorite game series ever.

  10. I loved this game but I think I'd have enjoyed it more had I not played the PC version. The constant crashing and stutters made getting to new areas ROUGH.

  11. I feel like if sega just made an amazing like 9 level 3d sonic game and just threw in a loooong list of cosmetics or playable characters I would play it to death. Sonic needs to pull more from racing game reward loops instead of the mario reward loop. A sonic game that's like alright bucko here's 10 dimadollars for beating the stage go buy some lit shoes to run like a quarter of a millisecond faster I would fuckin buss duh.
