In lore the banished do NOT have a massive fleet. They’re not the covenant smh they do more with less
Just one Spartan team can destroy an entire covenant splinter faction and a battalion of odsts are normally deployed at the hardest battles it is bad that they got destroyed but there must be something that survived if that pilot survived someone els could especially a spartan

I believe shadows of reach gives a hint that the Infinity just bolted, leaving the chief and a bunch of people behind. The commotion on the ring was bound to get Cortana's attention, and throughout the book, Lasky says more than once that if there is a chance of Cortana showing up they will leave, and leave behind anyone who isn't aboard the ship
I have a theory about sergeant stacker: you know how he cameo'd in halo reach? Well that may suggest that he was born there, which means if he did survive the war (which he probably did considering we see him right up to the end), he may have been among the rehab pioneers that went back to reach, since they were at least mostly composed of natives to reach. Not of too much significance, but hey, I think it's pretty cool
I say a lot of those at least were down on the ring at the time

The Infinity has not been destroyed. It's just a bunch of frigates and such under Infinity Command that was destroyed, it would be pointless to destroy the Infinity at this moment.
I think it's just a dream or vision of things to come or what can be. Think about it, if the infinity is destroyed, then the next ship will be even more op. I also think it's a bad move to have the unsc defeated. That's who we are and all we represent throughout the halo verse. I wouldn't wanna be downgraded to nothing but a brigand at that point.

Ok, makes since if Infinity is destroyed then what main capital ships would be available immediately to support MC while on Zeta? Spirit of Fire will not be there yet,Eternity is still incomplete, soooooo……. I get it this is a bad scene but be realistic what will be the most likely scenario the UNSC looses a battle bad,jumps out regroup and head to Reach. Eternity comes online subsequently, later Spirit of Fire arrives, wishful thinking right
But if you think about it there is captain cutter from halo wars 2 that has held the banished on the ark so in any case too there might be a possible chance that they could show up in Halo infinite

i bet what happened is that the ship gets shot down the main cast and alot of people on board are still alive then theres a shoot out where it crash landed and thats also one of the reason u have to go to reach or that where it lands
If this theory is true some ODSTs have had to escape the infinity. they could use their pods to escape and land on zeta halo.
I’ve been thinking for a while now about Cortana and what role she would play in Halo Infinite and it got me thinking, what if towards the end or mid way to the end Master Chief himself thinks that without back up he can’t defeat the Banished by himself so instead of looking for more of the UNSC he goes to the next big thing, Cortana, what if, for old times sake, he joins forces with Cortana to take on the Banished and that’s how he wins. Just a theory guys.
