Great video I'm just about too build my first army! I've chosen necrons wish me luck!
Thank you so much for this video I just started Warhammer and this app was a little daunting
I have a question I have started a Space Marine Army and necron Army and there are some units that my friends will actually get but are not in the app. There is a necron unit called a Cryptek, but I can't find him in any of the necron lists
as well, i can't equip a power sword and shield to my primaris captain.
if you don't know how to help that's fine this vid helped me a lot regardless!
would there be any sites i can visit where people can give me tips?
Thanks for saving me the effort explaining and re-explaining this process within my friend group. Many of them are just getting into 40k and as one of the two in the group who are experienced in the game this will be very nice for my sanity.
I wish I had this video before I traded my 10K Magic Collection for Warhammer hand-me-downs.
Thanks, Trevy
I’ll be joining up with your Discord soon to learn to play on TTS. List-building is quite fun, but at some point you have to actually play 😛
Barely ANYONE, in all their “tutorials”, have even mention things like battle forged detachments and how to actually make an army. The more the better I say.
and to print i would prefer use buttscri ( https://buttscri.be/40k.php ) to have nice sheet to use that look like what is in the codex 🙂
One thing that is really daunting to me as a noob that I don't see discussed very often, is wargear.
As someone who has only watched battle reports, and as of right now has yet to crack open the rulebook or my codex(might do it tonight, might not have time before Critical Role starts.), I don't have the knowledge base to even pick wargear for a squad. I have heard several times, have a plan for a unit. But I don't even know what weapons will work for a given role!
Take SoB Celestians. They are a unit that I personally will take into every game to guard my canoness. As such I'm thinking the best way to do that will be to generalize, as I'm not sure what a given match will be against. So…Do I want a Storm Bolter and Heavy Bolter? Flamer? Melta and/or Combi melta on the Superior?
Is there ever a reason to take a power sword over a chainsword beyond fluff?
I understand that everyone takes four MMs on Retributor squads, but as I am just starting out at 500, MAYBE 1000 points, why? Or should I even worry about it right now? With the revelation that squads can split fire, I'm wondering if my first squad should have 2 MMs and 2 HBs out of the box, with the other half of the squad being out of the BSS box.
I see people going over their lists and weapons taken, but I never hear the reasoning WHY they took, say, the plasmagun over the melta.
Thanks I’m trying to get my friends into 40k
