How to download Friday Night Funkin' on PC (LINUX)

You can download the game here: https://ninja-muffin24.itch.io/funkin

To make the file executable on the terminal type “sudo chmod +x Funkin” when the directory of your liking is chosen.

Please share and subscribe! 🙂 Also make sure you check out my first retrospective: https://youtu.be/pm2IZdVh_fM

Edit: there’s a rare issue where the terminal outputs “GLIBC2.29 not found” when trying to execute the file. There’s no concrete solution as of this update. In the meantime, I would suggest upgrading your Linux distro from an older version to 20.04LTS.

January 20 update: Thanks to a user by the name of clo – avii, it was discovered that the game can be executed through Stem by “adding the ‘Funkin’ file to steam, and then put “./Funkin” in the launch options without quotes.

  1. To ALL Chrome OS users (Chromebook) :
I found a working way. However, you'll need to go into your Chrome OS settings (can be found by pressing the button at the very bottom left corner of your screen and searching "Settings") and go to About Chrome OS. Is yours 32-bit, or 64-bit? It will only work on 64-bit. Next, find your way to Chrome OS Made Simple's YouTube channel, and follow his step-by-step tutorial. It should work just fine!
