Finally got heirloom shards, Played from season 0-4 skipped 2 seasons came back and got the heirloom on season 7

but if in level 20 you get 10 packs but you need 500 packs to get heirloom how does it make sense?

I don’t think that buying a event heirloom resets your 500 packs cuz I was 400 packs from the heirloom and then I bought the caustic event and then I opened 100 more packs and got the heirloom

How come the level 20s are the ones who get the heirloom not the level 500s?
your counter does not reset from purchasing heirlooms from collection events. i randomly unlocked wraiths heirloom back in june 2019, purchased every heirloom up through the events up to octanes and recently received heirloom shards on what i believe to be my 500th pack since opening.
i didn't start tracking purchased packs until season 5, but i'm fairly confident based on looking at my apex coin purchases on my credit card history that i unlocked the shards 475-500 packs after unlocking wraiths.
