  2. Little trick I learned for making smooth slopes on existing terrain is to look straight down and rapidly flatten the ground while moving forward. This takes a lot of stamina though and you'll have to do some touch up passes so it can be slow going. If there are any parts of the terrain that won't go up or down just give it a little love tap with the pick or raise ground then give it another pass.

  3. Another method I found that works is. Mining is a straight line. hit the dirt once and move up. If you ever tried digging in a straight line forward youll notice the ground will form a slope behind you. You can create extremely smooth hills doing this. You need a lot of dirt though.
