Can I still save the 5% if I already have a server?
I already have a Gportal server, playing with two other friends. But we have a pretty big issue – since two of us are in one country and the third is in a different country we're hitting pretty high lag when we are all in the same place. Like 4 seconds delay between action and result. We went for the Frankfurt node since it'c closest to all of us and it's also supposed to be in the backbone.

Let's see. Their servers support 10-1000 users. Valheim MAXES OUT at 10 users and you can't select just 5 or 3 on GPortal. You can ONLY contact them through social media before ordering, so if you don't use social media you can't even contact them…at all…unless you've already paid. Prices are at the top of the range for all games. Sorry, GPortal, too fishy for me Charlie.

I’m using a dedicated server for my wife and I, different company which I won’t name out of respect to FS81, but I have to say the choice to go with one has made the game that much more enjoyable for us. Our schedules are different enough that playing with one of us hosting really wasn’t going to work, and these server rentals are so relatively cheap that it was a no brainer.
Also, I wouldn’t even worry about importing a world, the games not so deep at this point that it matters a lot, unless you’ve built some massive fortress and want to keep it. Half the fun is starting a new seed naked and unskilled and running around.
Find a random character generator on line and have it generate a 10 character string (uppercase, lowercase, and 0-9) and use that as your seed and go!
Is it possible to set up a Dedicated Server on a world that has already been played on extensively? I'd like to set up a server on my world that I've been playing on so that I don't lose all my progress.

It's also really easy to just set it up on your own PC. The only tricky part can be getting the port forwarding set up.

I rented a server here too before this video, I wished I could watch it before.
I like the prices and I had more or less a good experience with them, sometimes it gets a bit laggy, but not sure if that's for the server or the recent updates in the game. I did not have this lagg before the latest patch, so I can't be sure 😛

FYI DO NOT choose the Dallas servers. After their snowpocolypse their power and telecom infrastructure is SCREWED big time. Had a friend rent a server in Dallas and the game was unplayable for all of us. East coast, westm mid, and here in the southern part of the US.
There is an unRaid Docker for Valheim that works perfectly and is free if you have an unRaid server.

It's wrong what you are saying. You can play with more then 10 players with using valheim + mod, it's even integrated in gportal as a mod. I am playing on a 24 slot community server using this mod and it's run better then without the mod
