  1. Pete: “Is Starfield done, my lord?”

Godd: “Yes, open the Kirkbride holding cell, it’s time for TES 6”

Pete: “MY LORD NO! HIS MUATRA IS TOO DANGERO-“

Godd: ”DO AS I SAY, MORTAL!”

Pete: “Y-yes my lord…as you wish”

    Kirkbride “Time to C͙̯͍͎̔ͧ͑̚͡H̵̲̲͖̟͖͍̠̺͔̘͆͌̊̚̚ͅIͬͮ̎͆̌ͨ̇̚҉̖̫̲̗̣̹̠M̴̭̩̞̣̟̫͔͕͙͚̱̦̬̅̄̂̇͘͟”

Godd: “You got five minutes, here’s some DMT”

  2. I believe people are leaving bethesda for the same reason people always leave companies when they geta new owner. Either they don't like the new owner and they quit, or the new owner decides they don't like them/they're not good enough/just to cut some heads off as a show of power and put the "fear of God" in the employees.

  3. There's one other reason those people might leave Bethesda around now…it's called MS/Xbox ownership. There are employees that will leave an employer regardless of how loyal they are if the ownership changes.

  4. i bet they are having major issues updating to the new engine across the entire pipeline… the way Fo76 was pitched at the BE3 event left a bad feeling in my gut. The engine Bethesda have been using is OLD.. really old.. the problem with old engines like that is eventually developers of the engine move on and the only way the engine can survive is comments in code and tons of documentation for new devs jumping onto the projects…. you see this with other studios… From playing all creation kit engine games since Fo3 you see very little upgrades graphically tech wise… I'm super sceptical this will pan out the way everyone wants it to. I'm super hopeful they can create a new updated engine with physics based lighting and rendering techniques but eh… e

  5. Idk could also be the sale of the company to. Though that may be the reason the montization person left. Microsoft seems less interested in micro transaction than zenimax was.

  6. idk, senior members leaving all at once doesn't look like a good sign for me. Not saying it's a bad thing, or that I can deny it's what you say it is, but I would think the type of employee to leave at the end of a project would be the ones who were hired at beginning of said project.

  7. Whole I agree that this is likely indicative of Starfueld wrapping up, it's not rhe o ly possibility.
There could be new rules and corporate changes in Bethesda's workplace because of their new ownership that employees aren't thrilled with.
I managed bookstores for Borders for years. When the Borders Bros sold out and company went public everything about it changed for the worse despite promises that nothing would change. We lost hundreds or thousands of employees across the country when it became apparent that we were changing from the best books retail chain ever to… something far, far less.

  8. Not every departure is based on bad terms, some people seek new challenges or their contract is complete. Not everyone stay at the same company forever.

  9. Does above remember when Matt Booty said every game released in the first year on Series X would also be on Xbone? That's a pretty huge restriction for release for games like Starfield, that aren't going to be on pre-gen.

  10. You know I had a feeling the California Raisins were behind this. They've been quiet, lurking in the shadows for decades, but it was too much to hope that their draconian machinations had come to an end.

  11. Personally I am thinking that Bethesda was targeting November 2020 for Starfield but COVID shot that down, and with Microsoft buying them, this gives Bethesda the excuse to make sure every thing is working as bug free as humanly possible, especially after the CDPR's issues with Cyberpunk and FO76. It least one can hope. Edit: I get this impression by the fact that Phil Spencer kept mentioning Starfield and how excited he was for it during the period leading actual purchase of ZeniMax, and now he is quite about it. Todd would love to announce this is what Starfield is and you can play it now..
