thoughts on riot disabling all chat across all matchmade queues? i think team chat should be disabled too D:
That's fakking stupid, 90% of the most toxic and inflammatory shit comes from your own team.
Enemies can be easily muted without it having an impact on the game… That's definitely not true for people on your own team.

The problem with disabling all chat is the people who are toxic to the enemy team because they enjoy that and are sick can now only be toxic to their team mates.
I don’t pay much attention to chat while I play, but I would very much HATE for team chat to be disabled. I think you are insane to think chat should just be taken out of the game. Some of us aren’t toxic and when I DO use friendly banter in team chat it’s a great time. Also like using chat for saying “BARON NOW” and “END” after spam pinging baron. If someone is toxic in team chat, that is THEIR flaw, not mine. That’s why they have chat restrictions. I should not lose the ability to communicate with my team in chat, just because majority of the player base isn’t mature enough to play objectively

As a mute all player I use chat only when I complain that the team doesn't play like a team and I complain when we get Ace but no one comes to baron. I pretty much don't talk and I'm doing pretty well just by pinging. Chat is mostly for beginners to teach them when someone is helping them but they can do it on discord or something. Chat is unnecessary. When I ask for leashes if my teammate doesn't want to I can type 5 minutes and he won't come. Things like "ward my red/blue" are nonsense, just like leashes, if your teammate cares, he would ward it without you asking or atleast he will be there to def it until minions spawn
I’m glad they’re trying new things out for toxicity and tbh I don’t understand why we would have access to communicate with the enemy team at all. No more of my inting mid laner crying to the wining enemy team!

Tyler as usually speaking facts, but the fact that they thought that removing all chat instead of team chat is the right move so they make the game less toxic shows that they are honestly either stupid or don't know what the fuck they are doing. Judging by the changes the make to the game and champions i think it's both.
the people in this community get offended by everything and report you. you can be quiet the whole game but they will still report you becuase they r 3 premades and u r jungler who tries to do his job.
I would like to see voice-comms. Disable all chat and team chat, but make it possible for players to connect to voice-comms, if they want to. Maybe I play better when I get to talk to another person, maybe I don't wanna take my hands of the mouse to type to someone. Give me optional voice-comms and we will be good.

I think a good change would be to just have teamchat automatically disabled upon entering a match, then you can opt to turn individual team mates or your entire team on. The benefits of this is that more people would assume others don't even have team chat enabled and thus would be less likely to type their toxic bullshit because no one will hear them cry.

Tbh…..like theres some games where i added people into games from enemy teams or vice versa cause we're talking shit or vybing. "Verbal abuse" ???? Are yall this sensitive that if someone is getting under your nerves/skin on an online game that you're butthurt? (You can mute btw). In my opinion…this is dumb.
Why completely remove a feature that is by default DISABLED? You have options to either use it or not, and again in order to use it you really must enable it. You can also mute players if you feel like it. REMOVE THE OPTION ALTOGETHER IS A BIG FAT NO FOR ME. Especially when verbal abuse comes from your own teammates and not your enemies:3 FAT LOL

You know sometimes, actually a lot of the times, the only reason that inter gets banned is cuz you're able to tell people to x9 them. Also a lot of the times they're just vibes or hyping up mad plays. Just give us a voice com in the game built around fucking teamplay

This is not at all a positive change. If you can’t handle the chat you have the option to mute or disable it yourself. People should have the choice whether they want to use all chat or not.

I'm completely against removing all chat, I've met a ton of amazing people from the enemy team who I still game with to this day. The toxic behavior I've come across is only in my team and usually in ranked. Further more, if riot was serious about toxic behavior, why did they bring back Tyler1? I love the dude but he's extremely toxic. It's because toxicity sells and blaming it on all chat is the only way they can say they're trying to do something about it. Screw you riot!
