The PS5 has the potential to surpass PS2, no question about that, but I don't think they'll sell over 200mil.
2 things that can make it hit/exceed that number imo:
1) Sony introduces a new ultimate entertainment streaming service and markets the PS5 as the ultimate streaming device that will do it all (gaming, movies, shows, etc)
2) PSVR2 is gonna be crazy good with new premium innovate experiences that has never been seen before in the VR space.

Recently just Platinumed the entire Uncharted series man that took months to do lol 🤣. Made Uncharted 4 my 50th plat and 51st was lost Legacy . My recent one was Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom remake that was a classic game ( 52nd plat) currently playing Mafia definitive edition and gonna be working on the plat right now ☺️ also what's your psn ?

Pretty much what I've been saying for a long time now. It's going to depend on studio resources and the engine used. Microsoft should have just released a Series X without a disc tray instead of the Series S. There are still a lot of what ifs though. Will RDNA 2 toolset help improve the situation for the Series X with things like Super Resolution, mesh shaders, or what about Microsoft's ML. As soon as most AAA developers stop supporting old gen consoles, then we will know how the Series S will cope with new games, as by that time the engines should have been tweaked for next gen (I guess I should call it current gen now) consoles.

I stopped going for platinums cause it takes the enjoyment out of gaming for me. If the platinum is easy or if its for a game i really love, I'll go for it.. I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima on new game plus and I'm halfway through Final Fantasy 7 Remake on hard mode. Can't wait for the FF7 Remake PS5 upgrade.
Jim Ryan " I believe in generations" Meaning the opposite of Game Pass and having to think about weaker/old consoles. So, what does that mean? It means that, yes some early games will run on the previous gen. But they will have ps5 games only.

Well, just been revealed that Sony has sold 6 million PlayStation 5s and it's smashing sales records in the UK, which is no surprise as Europe is a Sony stronghold. But surprisingly PlayStation 5 smashed sales records in the US too. The US is normally a Microsoft stronghold. And Microsoft has sold just 3 million Series X and S consoles. So Sony's well on the way already.

The Xbox Series S is also waste of silicon, at a time when there's a shortage of microchips.
