I'm a massive fan of Amplitude Studios. Endless Space 2 is placed second in my favourite 4x games list, greatly improving over the first one. I also really liked Endless Legend which heavily serves as a basis for Humankind economy (EL did districts before Civ 6). One thing it also fixes for sure is EL combat which had a lot of issues and seems more interesting than Civ.
My main worries are that only few culture combos will be worth going for and that retaining culture will be too punishing with the lack of new trait.
